Good to see IFP finally realized that they need to advertise their books.

Too bad they couldn't do this with Benson.

Excellent! It's about time they got the public to notice these. This will be great.

Judging by the trade ad they've picked the cover that I liked best. I.e the one that doesn't say Meet James Bond or My Name's Bond etc.

The advertising campaign certainly looks as though it'll shift more books and the whole thing looks really well thought out. I'd imagine that even to the general reader, those materials look quite appealing.

I agree, Tanger. I think this ad campaign will really help these books find an audience beyond hardcore Bond fans, which is good because that's who they need to reach (i.e., Harry Potter readers).

Looks like they're putting some good promo money behind the project, always good to see. Unless I'm mistaken the last time they really went out and out was for the Gardner books. Well, up to Icebreaker at least.

Zero Minus Ten had some promotion and, not surprisingly, it was the best selling Benson book. But SilverFin is getting a bigger push than even License Renewed. Street advertising...pretty nice.

I'm wondering if people in the UK are seeing any evidence of this SilverFin mega promotion? Any SilverFin street posters or bus sides spotted? The book IS less than a week away. :)

I heard it mentioned on BBC London radio's breakfast show's book review spot, that's about all so far.

By the looks of the feature on Newsnight (see other thread) there's some kind of an electronic press kit with moving graphics based on the book cover- unless the BBC made these themselves, I'm not sure.

BBC Radio 1's entertainment news had an item about SilverFin tonight- saying that CHarlie Higson could be the next JK Rowling and generally upping the hype cosiderably.
