I'm definitely liking this cover better than the UK cover. :)

This cover sucks! The UK version is far more superior. That person looks more like a blob than an actual person. I like how the UK version has a formula that the other four novels can follow. This version is just a big mess. Hopefully it goes through many changes before April.

I'm going to try and order both, the UK one is equally as good.

Well regardless, I will be ordering the UK edition if for no other reason than it being published almost a whole two months earlier.

They just could Righty. Compare the advance US edition of Zero Minus Ten to the final version - completely different!

I actually think this cover is pretty slick. I expect the changes we'll see are in the cover text, something like "My Names Is Bond" tagline, etc. I like the image and the title font.

The US and UK covers are shockingly bad. I thought that the whole point of this exercise was to sell books to young readers, not to James Bond collectors or existing fans of the literary series? The cover of the US edition with its blue silhouette with black blackground and gold title looks dull, dull, dull. If this book is on the same display as the Harry Potter series, or other young adventure series, I suspect that the book will not even be picked up and the association with James Bond will not even register.

I also don't see parents picking up these books for their children because nothing re-assures them that this is a "child-safe" James Bond. The silhouette cover actually reminds me of the silhouette covers of the 1980's Berkeley paper back editions.

I believe that the Raymond Benson cotinuation novels flopped because of poor marketing and I presume that the same thing will happen with the Charlie Higson continuation novels.

Yeah, the eels are inside the sillhouette. I prefer the UK version though myself.

Potter was at first regarded as 'dangerous' reading by alot of parents before it really set setting high sales.

I hope SilverFin kills Harry Pothead's 6th book in sales. I know it probably won't but it would be nice if it did. Maybe "Young Bond #2" will beat Harry Pothead #6 because it may take awhile for the Young Bond series to get big if it does get big.

How do you figure on that one Righty? :) Harry Potter #6 will already have made a huge impact with tremendous sales, as being the sixth in a longer running series. I know you say "maybe", but it just seems doubtful at the moment. Hopefully, SilverFin will make the big impact.
