Why do I ask that question? Well, my father gave me a present. A dvd of 'Casino Royale'! From the MGM/UA company!! The cover has got the same style as the other MGM/UA dvd's. A big head of James Bond on the frontside. So, why bothering? Let's use some Casino Royale elements in Bond 21!
Casino Royale is now official Bond Movie. Or not?

NEVER, the movie was funny at some parts, but it made me cringe. It will never be an official Bond movie. it is a, lets all say it together, S.P.O.O.F.! good, repeat that to yourself several times. Thank you :-D

And of course CR has Vladek Sheybal as Le Chiffre's representative.
I think Eon should make a CR. Also they should make a DAF, LALD, TMWTGG, and a Moonraker! ^_^

With the settlement of the MGM / Sony lawsuit, MGM now has complete movie rights to the book Casino Royale and owns the movie. I don't think that it makes the film Casino Royale 'official' as it was not an EON production.
MGM also now holds distribution rights to Never Say Never Again.
All of that said, I have gone on record many times that an 'official' version of Casino Royale should be made.

EON will never ever make Casino Royale, it just won't be done, and if I'm wrong I'll give you all $1m each.

NO! NO! NO!
I treat it as the same as Operation Kid Brother, a terrible rip-off of a very successful icon.
But at least OKD had Daniela Bianchi, Adolfo Celi, Bernard Lee, Anthony Dawson, Lois Maxwell, and a Connery.

True, but CR has Andress, the hotel lady from TSWLM, and I think another girl from it went on to be in the official series in a very small part.
