So she has the looks then...but what about the style and the sophistication for the role? Granted, Jinx wasn't all that (), but I hope you get the point. That's a very strange objection, to say that she isn't appealing to both men and women! She has been voted both the actress most men would like to sleep with, and that most straight women would "switch teams" for.

Alright alright, some pictures are nice. But look at some of her roles, even Tomb Raider.Oh, definitely! After the Tomb Raider series and Beyond Borders, she would be very believable as a stylish globetrotter. Heck, she is one in real life! She's a UN goodwill ambassador, and spends a heck of a lot of time traveling to exotic places.
Stylish and sophisticated!

I certainly wouldn't suggest she be the "good girl." That would require another "Bond's equal" ally, and I don't want that any more than most people here.
She would be at her best as an Onatopp-type villainess. I definitely think she could play the hell out of such a role!

Somewhat lesser than pleasent, but I'd only want her in a minor non-speaking role.Well, I wouldn't suggest she be the "good girl." That would require another "Bond's equal" ally, and I don't want that any more than most people here.

(sidenote: 30+ tattoos) Sounds like somoene plucked out of the gutter to me.A busty woman, covered in tattoos, who likes blood and playing with knives? Sounds like someone plucked right out of the Bond world to me!
(Nothing personal, Spoon. But I'm sure you can you tell I loath this gir-... I mean "thing" we've been talking about.)

*Looks at picture second time*(to rage a little less) ...Or plucked out of the xXx world, NOT the Bond world.
I think it could qualify for both the xXx and the XXX world.

I hope Jolie gets to do it eventually, though. I feel much the same way about her that I did about Sharon Stone. It's a shame that Stone never got to do a Bond film. Jolie has that same crazy/sexy thing that I think would make a perfect Bond villainess. Like Famke, I think she could go from debonair to savage.
Athena, that's a funny pic! I have to admit that I prefer this one.
Well, I suppose folks can decide for themselves if this is something they would like to see. Maybe they'd like some milk and cookies as they do.

I wouldn't want a Xenia clone though, and that seems to be what is suggested Jolie could possibly be very good at.Like Famke, I think she could go from debonair to savage.
Who knows, she could surprise me.

(and now in some odd way I can understand the reaction that comes from those who loath Brosnan, though I don't understand why. )
To sum it up, I still stick with: Jolie is an xXx girl not a Bond Girl. And the day Jolie becomes a Bond Girl is the day I will renounce my Bond fandom. The End.

I hate to join the Jolie dissfest, but I can't get into a woman who reminds me of Jon Voight.I've seen Ms Jolie in the flesh (at Comic Con 2003) and well, let's just say... she thanks God every day for airbrushing. Anywho, enough rage from me from one night (thanX for putting up with it, Spoon.)

I'm also not a big fan of having another American Bond girl. Denise Richards and Halle Berry really spoiled it for Bond girls from the States.

The Olsen Twins should NEVER be in a Bond film. Period.
I think the worlds biggest movie series could at least demand a little bit talent.
