The day Jolie becomes a Bond Girl is the day I will renounce my Bond fandom.

That's a very strange objection, to say that she isn't appealing to both men and women! She has been voted both the actress most men would like to sleep with, and that most straight women would "switch teams" for.

So she has the looks then...but what about the style and the sophistication for the role? Granted, Jinx wasn't all that (), but I hope you get the point.

Oh, definitely! After the Tomb Raider series and Beyond Borders, she would be very believable as a stylish globetrotter. Heck, she is one in real life! She's a UN goodwill ambassador, and spends a heck of a lot of time traveling to exotic places.

I certainly wouldn't suggest she be the "good girl." That would require another "Bond's equal" ally, and I don't want that any more than most people here.

She would be at her best as an Onatopp-type villainess. I definitely think she could play the hell out of such a role!

Well, I dunno if I'd call her my "pick." If there is a new Bond and it isn't Jackman, then Jolie would be a much bigger star than the actor playing Bond. Being overshadowed is no way to start the new guy off. And if it is Jackman or if it's still Brosnan, then Monica Bellucci would be my first choice.

I hope Jolie gets to do it eventually, though. I feel much the same way about her that I did about Sharon Stone. It's a shame that Stone never got to do a Bond film. Jolie has that same crazy/sexy thing that I think would make a perfect Bond villainess. Like Famke, I think she could go from debonair to savage.

I hate to join the Jolie dissfest, but I can't get into a woman who reminds me of Jon Voight.

I'm also not a big fan of having another American Bond girl. Denise Richards and Halle Berry really spoiled it for Bond girls from the States.
