Just seen the Johnny Depp film "Secret Window" - it is excellent and a terrifically clever ending!

Well, my favourite new release of 2004 is KILL BILL VOL 2. As for older films I've seen for the first time this year, my faves are:

THE LAST EMPEROR (director's cut)

PLATFORM http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258885/

POCKET MONEY http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074152/

Shrek 2.

Sure it's a kids film, but it made me freakin' laugh! All the action baloney I've seen (Van Hesling, The Day After Tomorrow) can't match up to this hilariously fun movie.

Ya, Shrek 2 is my favorite. I heard in the third one, Shrek and Finoa go up against King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table who are portrayed as wild college students.

The Day After Tomorrow, and that was fair. Waiting for films in the second half of this year.

I actually did sit through Harry Potter with my younger sister, and must admit while not my cup of tea films, it was nice to see the movie series gain some maturity and growth.

I have just seen Garfield. I must admit I thought the film wasn't really that good, but It was better then I expected. Bill Murray was fantastic as the voice of the fat cat.

That one just looks horrendous to me from the previews.

Yes the trailer looked pretty awful, but the film wan't really all that bad. Just a dissapointment.

I'd consider a dissapointment bad, hate films that have a good trailer, and then nothing else. This looks like it's bad from all angles.

I'm looking forward to Seed of Chucky. It will probably be my new pick after I see it on 10/30/04.

I'll be greatly looking forward to Spiderman 2 having recently seen the trailer again.

Today was Spider-Man 2 day at Jacobs Field (Home of the Indians). They gave out a cool Spider-Man mask and foam hand at the door. I tried to get one but I was too old. :)

I'd say Kill Bill for me, though I really haven't seen that much in theatres this year. (Which is rather rare.)

Nothing has really appealed to me, although Spider-Man looks delightful, and I can honestly predict that "The Life Aquatic" may take the top spot by the end of the year.

Ah, one of life's glorious questions...Quentin Tarantino, or Wes Anderson?

I think though that Aquatic's cast will certainly help it.

Probably Kill Bill Vol. 2.

Spider-man 2 might change that. Jinx probably would have, too. :)

The only film I've seen this year is Troy, so that has to be my choice :)
Ask again after Spiderman 2; and I'm going to watch The Day After Tomorrow this Thursday.
And no, I won't see (Dirty) Harry Potter 3 ...

Why not? Don't read the books? I didn't like the hole idea all together until I saw the first movie. I think I'm going to start reading the books now.

Either Hellboy or the much disliked (it seems) Van Helsing. As much as I am looking forward to Spider-Man 2, I'm more looking forward to The Bourne Supremacy.

So far, probably Shrek 2; a member of the elite club of films I've gone to more than once. Cleverly written script to appeal to all ages; and just look at the cute little kitty!! :)

As for films later this year, maybe I'll go see Spiderman 2. The Incredibles is on the list, as well as Tom Hanks' newest one about the immigrant stuck in the airport (the bleedin' title's eluded me!), Dodgeball, Anchorman, and the SpongeBob one (promised the little nephews).
