Exactly.Oh, I'll buy them. All editions, signed, etc.
It really wouldn't stop me no matter how bad they got from stopping buying them, because there would always be the chance for the next one to be better than the last, and it's what a collector does anyways.

Does anyone know if they'll continue to be published by Putnam in the US, and as Jove paperbacks also, as it isn't very clear about the publications here.
As if I remember, "James Bond Junior 003 1/2" only came out in hardback.

In the UK the novel will be published by Puffin in stead of Hodder. So it's very well possible that they change publishers in the US aswell.A question:

I will also have to decide if I will consider them a part of the canon after reading the first, though as of now, I'm not too keen on the idea.

A series of books about a thirteen year old James for a nine to twelve year old audience? This isn't Bond, this is an attempt to steal readers from Harry Potter. Or will the books be like Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys?
Will we have titles like James Bond and the Nazi Menace where boy agent James Bond makes the world safe from facism? Or how about boy agent James Bond against the Soviets?

No.
Longer answer...
Not craving acquisition of everything Bond, although this is no swipe at those who freely and with great enthusiasm do seek to possess everything, my interest must have its limits. Sorely tested by the Bensons and the Brosnans, it is thus far, no further. I don't actually need this (I appreicate that I am older corporeally than 9-12), and I'm not convinced the case is made out that anyone else does.
Can we hire Mr Brosnan to save the trees that will go to make the paper for this venture? 'Bout time he did something creative.
When the book(s) come out, the twin boys will be the captive audience. I'll do what my father did; bung them a copy of Goldfinger. Why have cotton when you can have silk?
Seriously; if they are aiming at parents who said "Oh, I read that sort of stuff when I was younger", then it's the Flemings that they will buy.

Were it an adult continuation novel i would buy it, even if it was complete rubbish, i'd buy it. Children's Bond? Nah, not on my watch soldier!
Hawkeye.

So do I. I'll probably give the first one a once-over and go on from there.I think that this series could be really good if done right. Obviously, we don't want a James Bond Jr.-type series of novels, but I do think this has potential.

I bought my daughter the Harry Potters series for Christmas and she likes having those read to her. I hope I can persuade her this is similar, if it is. She doesn't like Bond now, but I have hope. That would make this series worth it for me.
What a nice post, Turn.

Come to think of it, I kind of liked those Find Your Fate books that came out when AVTAK was new. While they weren't novels, they did probably influence a few younger readers to become excited about Bond.
