Die Another Day is a good Brosnan Bond in the established traditon of "TSWLM" . Brosnan closest Bond film in my view as his best is "TWINE" . Let wait and see what Bond 21 has in store . It just might surprise us.

I Thought TWINE wasnt as good as GoldenEye, but better than Tommorow Never Dies. Die Another Day is my Favourite Brosnan film followed by GoldenEye.

I don't think that Die Another Day is Brosnan's best. I think Goldeneye is his best, but Die Another Day is one of my favorites.

She shouldn't be brought back. She was in Tomorrow Never Dies, thats enough of her for me. I think Bond girls shouldn't be brought back, every new Bond movie should have a new Bond girl. I don't want a Halle Berry "Jinx" spin-off or her to return in Bond 21.

Exactly! For me, Jinx comes right after Stacey Sutton in my list of the worst Bond girls.

GE is slightly better, but I think DAD is definitely an improvement over TWINE and TND. I'd compare it more to Moonraker than TSWLM, though. TSWLM is consistent throughout while MR, like DAD, only has a strong 1st half. If it had a better score and a more confident Brosnan performance, GE would have been near perfect.

Strangely enough, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day take a few steps above GoldenEye and The World is Not Enough in my mind. Both films, I think, have a classic, splashy feel to them reminiscent of the early Bond films. Lush, epic filming locations and photography. Fast-paced but exciting editing and flow throughout. Both films may not have the sharpest of scripts (that, in my opinion, is where GoldenEye and TWINE are better), but both films certainly convey a stylish feel to them that the Bond films of yesteryear used to have.

GoldenEye easily takes the top spot for me. TND was a little lacking in a lot of areas, DAD just had too much action in the final third, and TWINE seems very lacklustre in every area other than concept.

TWINE is worshipped by the Cult of Brosnan, probably because they like his hurt performance when matched up against Elektra. Personally, I think the movie really is a waste after the first hour. And even so, the first hour isn't anything to write home about.

Yeah T.W.I.N.E is nothing special when matched with Brosnan's other Three Movies.

I thought the boat chase in TWINE was excellent, and I loved the bit in the Scottish castle. After that promising opening though, TWINE quickly degraded into the worst entry in the 007 series for me.
I know a lot of the Brosnanites love the movie, and I have a pretty good idea I know why they do, but personally I think it was a wasted opportunity.

Does anyone else think that Brosnan may "dislike" T.N.D and TWINE.
Nearly every interview i have seen him in he always changes the subject and talks about how great GoldenEye was, etc.

It's no secret that Brosnan didn't have a pleasant experience on Tomorrow Never Dies. That can be attributed to the fact the production schedule was delayed and then rushed, the script was being written page-by-page as it was being filmed, and he had a facial injury which left him with the Bond-like lip scar.

I think The World is Not Enough was a decent enough experience for Brosnan. You have to keep in mind that when a Bond film is made, it takes a good six or seven months out of your life while you have to film it - either at Pinewood or on-location as a good deal of the movie was. Brosnan came onto the project wanting to do some real work as Bond, and that's what he got. It came in the way of a strong script and a great cast, and although it had lackluster photography and slow editing; the film was pretty well-made.

It seems like everyone either thinks TWINE is the best or the worst. For those of you who think its the worst are wrong because TWINE has a great title song, one of the best opening sequence's ever, great cast, and a great plot. There is nothing I don't like about it.

I feel, the Goldeneye Was Brosnan's best Bond film and Die Another Day coming in second it was his strongest had the motive look threw the whole movie and no goofing around it was all out kill the bad guy and Goldeneye was the same way once he found out 006 was Janus..I think they both were great the world is not enough was a great bond film but the whole thing was over dune the action scenes were a shot weirdly and the whole acting was like a English version of "Clue"

I thought TWINE was fun for about the first half hour, but it just blew after that. I know what you mean about the acting and the action scenes seemed stilted to me. Although I like the opening I would have to put myself in the anti-TWINE camp.

I must admit that I enjoyed Die Another Day the most of any of the Brosnan films but Goldeneye comes a close second. DAD is the one I've seen the most at the theatre of these 4. I think I attribute it to liking all the character portrayals which I can't say for TWINE or TND.

I think DAD is Brosnan's best Bond film for these following reasons: 1. GE, although very good because of its serious tone and good acting, it is a little slow paced, 2. TND tried to cure this but instead created an immensely over-hyped acton film with a weak plot that has been tried and tried again, 3. TWINE, I think combined a good plot and great action which were one thing GE had and one thing TND had, but they couldn't put it together as well as TWINE, 4. DAD, has an equally good plot, with the best action scenes of the Brosnan movies, and to put it on top of the others, is the sense of majesty (I like that to use word... if you haven't already read my other posts) or fantasy it had that I thought was reminscent of TSWLM, MR, YOLT, GF, and TB. As for Brosnan's best performance as Bond, I would have to say TWINE because the script leant towards a better performance than the others. He also seemed to be very comfortable with the role in TWINE as well.
