Timmy Dalton is aging well, compared to....

1. It was Timothy Dalton, whom I had no earthly idea was in that flick.
2. He looked the same way he looked in LTK (well to my Absolut-soaked eyes anyway) which came out over twelve years ago
It watched it again the following day (for another 13 euro -- bastard hotel) to be sure. And to my sobered eyes, he still looked the same. Don't know how old he is, but either he has discovered the wonders of sunblock (or botox) or there is a portrait of him aging in an attic somewhere in Wales.
And, sorry, folks... As much as I love PB, he looks like a wrinkly thing compared to the Tim Dalton of AMERICAN OUTLAWS, even considering it was released roughly a year or more before DIE ANOTHER DAY
Hey, Pierce.... may want to ask Timmy what brand of moisturizer he uses...

I recorded the Bond BAFTA Tribute show on British TV and I must say he looks great - I loved the way he came down the stairs, head high and chest outwards. Dalton's cool!

MAYBE HE'S BORN WITH IT - MAYBE IT'S MAYBELLINE =))))
Well, I agree...He looks amazingly young also in "The Informant" (1997) even with the awful stubble and all

Like Sean Connery - he also is becoming more and more goodlooking, when he gets older...

and let me ask a question if i may, why is it that the dalton extremest have to go and form a little band of warriors among themselfs and try to cause disunity, discord, and disharmony with the rest of us all in the name of timothy dalton and then they insult pierce brosnan just so they can make their beloved dalton look good i just dont understand how this works, to me its dumb we are all one group we love bond but yet some want to have division and wise proverb say: a bond house divided, cannot stand!!!

I am sorry on my own behalf, if someone feels hurt about my opinion.
I agree, that we should not be "divided". We all are bond fans.
I appreciate all the other actors as well, and as far as I am concerned, I wish not to hurt anyones's feelings or mock the other Bond-actors.
But, I have to agree we all have our taste and likings, and I think it is good if we are able to show them freely...
I apologize on my own behalf ...

brosnan from day one >
why u ask? because they have never gotten over the fact that dalton only made two films, to them it should have been dalton in golden eye, tomorrow never dies, the world is not enough, and die another day and they intend to stay mad forever and thats why they like to have their little divisions somehow it makes them feel complete

I enjoy Bond, whether it's Sean, Tim or Pierce...(i have to admit that Mr G. Lazenby is the last on my list...)
I try to keep it cool, though

You shouldn't apologize for anything, Raya. This is a forum. A forum is a place for people to voice their opinions. Said opinions may not always be pretty, but that doesn't mean they're meant to be divisive. If some folks disagree vehemently, that is their prerogative. If they can't get over it, that is also their prerogative.

I wrote that compared to Tim Dalton in AO, he looked like a wrinkly thing. I'm not sure at what point you started to believe that all opinions were supposed to be safe, sterile, and serene. In the world of fiction and cinema, perhaps. But I can assure you in the real world it is a tad different.
I stand by my opinions, "hurtful" as they may seem to you. For the record, I like PB just a much as Dalton. But that isn't going to keep me from expressing an opinion that is not favorable to him.
Ciao

You guys mentioned the Bond fan community being a family. Well, any family has squabbles and petty arguments. This is normal. We all have our own ideas about who best exemplifies Bond. That's fine. We come here. Discuss our ideas. Maybe lose our tempers. Maybe roll our eyes about some of the things we read. Even laugh out loud. Maybe nod our heads in silent agreement and think, "Damn, she (or he) read my mind."
Besides, I have a feeling that whatever Dalton-Brosnan fan rivalry will be immediately dispelled when I reveal to you who my horrendously deluded co-worker thinks should play Bond:
Ben "That chucklehead is playing Jack Ryan?" Affleck.
Fight the real enemy, folks: A-list pretty boys who usurp beloved action roles and make it (badly) their own.
No offense to any Ben Affleck fans out there.

we are all bond fans, but do we have to segregate and be divisive in this bond world of ours?

How droll.
But seriously, Bondfinesse. We all have opinions. We all have the right to express them, especially on a forum such as this.
And you have to be pretty easily hurt if you say "Brosnan is wrinkly in DAD" is a hurtful comment.
It's true by the way. Brosnan is starting to look like a weathered old shrimp...

Hey, Bondfinesse....GET OVER IT!!!!!
Everyone has thier favorites. That's not a crime, no matter HOW you choose to describe someone. I mean, it sin't like someone called out his momma! For Pete's sake!
Like someone earlier well said: This is a FORUM, and differing opinions are welcome . And expected. Don't get your pantyhose all up your crack because you feel a personal affinity for Brosnan, as opposed to many of us who lean towards Timothy Dalton.
At the same time, there are Connery, Moore and even (gasp!) Lazenby fans who could easily flood this thread with THEIR opinions and viewpoints.
The truth is , both Dalton AND Brosnan are aging. It's a natural process, ya know?
Just stop "trippin without your luggage"!
Ans accept that others will respectfully "agree to disagree" with you or anyone else. Otherwise, hurt feelings are for Soap boards.

Oh yeah, introduction post, newbie Bond fan, been a fan since 1999... no time for long spiels... Ah yes, my favorite film has been The Living Daylights. I liked Dalton's performances in both Bond films... Brosnan's second favorite, Moore third, Connery last. never saw OHMSS, so I can't judge ol' Lazenby.

I certainly wish Dalton had done GOLDENEYE - would have been a terrific final outing for his Bond. But I'd have wanted Brosnan from TOMORROW NEVER DIES to DIE ANOTHER DAY (funnily enough, I've always thought TND plays more like a debut for Brosnan than his actual debut, GOLDENEYE, does). And now I want Clive Owen, or at least someone other than Brosnan, for BOND 21. I've started to think three films per actor is about right.....to them it should have been dalton in golden eye, tomorrow never dies, the world is not enough, and die another day....
