I agree, but I've got to share it with "From Russia With Love"!.Mine is Moonraker. Shirley Bassey makes that song literally out of this world. Always liked it.
Carol ( when we're playing the themes in the car" sings along with Shirley, and the whole number seems to make more sense. Carol can sing these themes so well, and adds an uncanny harmony to this song.

Cheers,
Ian

Of course it's not a huge Bond song, as it was before Goldfinger and all, but it's a good song.

Of ocurse, the main theme is usually on whenever I am driving, either the original or one of the techno versions if I'm feeling frisky.

Diamonds ARE Forever for me. My theory is Goldfinger is too brassy and Moonraker is too slow.DAF is a perfect blend, not alot of brass but enough to keep them satified.
Hear, hear! The atmospheric quality of the song is mesmerizing. And the lyric is so pointed and emotional. It sounds like a woman who has been betrayed by Bond. I mean, to hear Bassey sing, with balls out, "I don't need love!" That's powerful as hell.

The song that should've been the title song to one was
"If There Was A Man" by Chrissie Hynde from the Living Daylights soundtrack.
That's my true favorite.

I'm a little wary of what the next theme song will be for Bond 21. They sometimes seem to pick whoever is hot at the moment. If they ever pick JLo to sing a Bond song, I'll leave this country to go be a hermit. Hahaha.

I really hope we don't see her chosen.

I am kinda surprised that no one voted for the James Bond Theme, which for me continue to purchase the all the albums. I voted for TND, really liked to use of the instruments and brought back the guitar which some strings. Sheryl Crow was reasonable, I liked the jazzy voice, Bond finally has some good jazz.
As per the James Bond Theme, I have to agree with you, but perhaps some fans see it in a different light than all of the other main title songs, as it's the iconic Bond song.
