If you were approached by EON to direct a Bond movie, what direction would you take for the character, and what style would you aim for?
I'd go for a bit of Roger Moore humour and still have epic action scenes.

A straight-forward mission, with the visual elegance of SKYFALL, the gritty adventure of THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, the epic scope of THUNDERBALL, the sheer fun of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and the sexiness of CASINO ROYALE.

Yeah I would also have a straight forward mission, crazy gadgets and more bond girls plus more sex! :)

Oh my God.I don't even know where to begin, but I'll make it short.

I've always told myself that one day my dream would be to direct a Bond film. So, I've always thought that I would try to incorporate my own style, while mixing in the famous Bond elements that make Bond BOND.

I'd probably start with a pre-title sequence that's pretty action packed, but that relates to the story. I'd like to end it in mystery, like Skyfall's opening.

For the title song, I'd choose a more slow song that then bursts into a jazzy, Bondian film orchestral.

I'd really like to focus on the story and trying to creativity tell it in an interesting way. I second iceskater—sex, gadgets, Bond girls, etc.

And a lot of it will be filmed in CANADA—more winter based but some tropical locations too. We'd travel to Canada (Winter), Chukotka (story about the Bering Strait Bridge?), and Socotra (Villain's hideout), etc.

It doesn't matter who plays Bond. We'd just film in the style of that kind of Bond.

Don't know where to start really. I do know that Bond would be pushed to extreme levels in his mission. It would be violent, but not Rated R violent, enough violence and decent amounts of Blood, really showing some brutal scenes of fighting and Bond taking a beating. Visually breathtaking. Lots of locations: Rio De Janiero, Brazil, United Kingdon, Ukraine, South Africa, Siberia, Scotland, and Berlin, Germany. Bond would drive The Aston Martin One-77 and the Aston Martin Rapide. Q with gadgets (not over-the-top stuff, but more believable equipment that can still give that "WOW" factor to it.) One and only One Bond girl, who's more than just another  pretty face. A bond girl with the beauty and the emotions, but with the firm, toughness of Pam Bouvier. I Want the villain to challenge Bond Mentally and Physically as well. I'll cap this off with the Music Score by Trent Reznor.

I'd want a tale that focuses more on espionage than OTT a la FRWL, OHMSS and CR. Bond would go up against a cunning and cerebral villain much like Silva. Yvonne Strahovski would be his leading lady and Liam Neeson would fill in the role of the villain. I would want Bond to have a chase in a classic car like a 1967 Shelby GT500. Locales would include Vancouver, Canada, Valencia, Spain, New Orleans with an airboat chase on the bayou and the finale would take place in a plane (although far better done than in DAD). I'd want to include the line "3030 was a double" as it's one of my favorite lines from the novels and the score would be done by John Williams.

Well first off I would NOT blow up the DB5.

That being said, I would however have more of a straightforward mission, perhaps destroying Quantum, and I would move the gunbarrel sequence back to the beginning of the film where it belongs.

You know, just to spite everyone, I would leave the gunbarrel at the end.

If it's justified in my film for being at the end, then why not, but I'd have at the beginning. I'd have Craig with his stance for the Skyfall GB, the gunbarrel design would be based on the Brosnan design, and a brooding score similar to Michael Kamen's score for the gunbarrel in LTK.

Very nice. I still like the idea of Bond walking away as he does in the QoS gunbarrel. I would still leave it at the end for the shear fact that everyone is so pissed off about it.

I would try to avoid the sudden appearance out of nowhere of a small army of henchmen trying to kill Bond while he is driving/skiing, etc.

Also, I would show him actually spying on people ala FRWL and GF.
