A shame the pictures don't work...but here's something I made for all you CBn'ers for the festive season...

http://i1233.photobu...rd/BondXms2.jpg

Thankfully, it seems we've all survived the end of the world, which is good! So that was akward for the Mayans, wasn't it. What do the youngsters say now? "Epic Fail!"

Well. What a year it's been for James Bond. Turning 50 years old, who'd have thought it back in 1962 when that Darby O'Gill actor first uttered the immortal words "Bond, James Bond" that we'd be seeing the juggernaut that is the 23rd 007 film, 'Skyfall', smash records around the world and inch it's way to becoming the highest grossing James Bond film ever and become just the second "Billion Dollar Bond".

We've celebrated the milestones of such a legacy one will not been seen again, probably not in our lifetime, and that has been very special to do not just as a Bond fan, but to share them with you fellow CBn'ers. Through highs, lows, excitement and dissapointment spanning the last year, it's been an unforgettable one for everything Bond related and I will miss the euphoria it's brought and the life breahted into the series to all peoples around the world discovering either a new or old passion for 007.

I for one have re-discovered my love for James Bond. Not jus the character, but the actors who've played him over 5 decades and the talent behind the camera. From all the special documentaries, film re-runs, Blu-Ray release, video games and wealth of books, my passion for 007 has never been higher and I can't imagine my life without 007 in it. Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan and Craig. The word "Proud" doesn't come close for me.

And the current affairs haven't been over-shadowed too. There has been elation, scandal, celebrations, great tragedy, historic moments and unforgettable spectacle across the world in the shape of politics, sports, entertainment, religion and other areas.

We have a lot to look forward to in 2013 I am sure - big new films out for the film fanatics, a great line-up of sport on the horizon, new developments in global politics and current affairs and I am sure there will be many moments we will remember forever.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, however you will be celebrating or spending a well earned break over the festive season.

I wish you and your loved ones and friends a magical time this season and you all stay safe and enjoy yourselves however you find solace to do so.

And a very big Happy New Year to you - James Bond's 51st year and one that I am sure will throw more surprises, revelations, releases and scandals for us to debate and muse about.

Thank you all for an unforgetable 2012 - James Bond's 50th Year.

"God bless us, every one!"

Let us know what you're getting up to - any big events planned for Christmas or New Year?

And what do you want from Father Christmas... and let us know what you got - hopefully some good Bond goodies!

:D

Happy holidays to all! Including our Jewish brothers and sisters (even though Chanukah was a week ago lol) and those celebrating Kwanzaa or whatever holiday it is for you! Well put casinoroyale, it has been one heck of a year both Bond related and not. I had a great time discussing all things Bond with everyone and look forward to doing it again for the next run of films, games, books etc.

Thank you very much thecasinoroyale! This was a wonderful Golden Anniversary year for all of us, after a (personal) mediocre 2011 and dreadful 2010. This was so far the most productive and enjoyable year of the decade, hope 2013 is too!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

My life began to turn around late in 2012, coincident with the release of Die Another Day.

Skyfall marks 10 happy years of growth and modest success for me, with more still to come.

I hope everyone's 2013 will be as full of potential as I anticipate mine will be.

And, as the man said, "It's not New Year yet!"

I'm not too big on Christmas anymore, but Merry Christmas to everyone here! It's been a wonderful year for all us Bond Fans indeed.

Not really getting anything for Christmas, which doesn't bother me, so this will be the first Christmas in years where I actually sleep in.

I wouldn't mind unwrapping that present under the tree!   Oo-er...!

It's come around fast this year - just watching 'Home Alone' as I browse here, ready for 'Home Alone 2' next, 'The Polar Express' tomorrow and the big Christmas Eve film of 'The Muppets Christmas Carol'.

Any fave Xmas films you must watch?

The Home Alone films cause me such a nostalgic feeling of my childhood. There's one that shows how beautiful NYC is, i think it's the second.

I agree Nicolas, I remember the 'Home Alone' films, 1 and 2 anyway, a crucial part of my childhood for Christmas!
