So according the Mayans, we only have 10 days left on this Earth. What are your plans for the final days and what do you plan on doing should you survive the coming apocalypse?

I plan on seeing Skyfall one last time and then begin a search for a cure to the virus that has turned most of mankind into zombies.

IF December 21st REALLY is the final day then I'm going to treat it like any other Friday (it falls on a Friday)

What I'm Doing That Day:

Wake Up, Go get coffee.

Tell the girl I like How I really feel about her.

Listen to Van Halen, my favorite band.

Go see Zero Dark Thirty and possibly if I have the time, Jack Reacher.

Come home and Watch Die Hard 1-4. Because if we're all really going to die, then I want to Die Hard watching Die Hard.

END DAY.

Bit annoyed I wont have Christmas this year, but MORE so I can't experience 'Skyfall' on DVD and Blu Ray and see the goodies in store.

And not seeing 'Man Of Steel' next year will be annoying - where is Superman when we need him?!

And then not having time for my 2 year old boy to introduce him fully to the wonders of James Bond and cinema such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman etc...wasted.

Oh well.... guess I'll just carry on as normal, I'll be at work that day for a Christmas Fun Day so maybe that's the quickest way to go, knowing some of the idiots I work with will be going out with me with a bang, or as you say Ace, we will simply Die Hard!

By the way, something that the mainstream media likes to ignore: It´s just the end of one Mayan calendar. They have another one that starts the next day.

Just as we have one that ends on December 31st. And the next one that starts on January 1st.

It'll be interesting to see how many loons will go out and do stupid things thinking they will get away with it if they buy into this.

Here in the U.S. we just had another mass shooting in a mall. Makes you afraid to leave your home.

Perhaps I'll go to Peru, where they don't have this sort of hysteria going on.

Those simpletons believe that the calendar just restarts after the astronomical confluence, then begins counting down to the next one.

I'll take a telescope so that I can observe the event, which some say is the harbinger of the End Times, while others say it signals the (second?) coming of the Messiah - which may be the harbinger of the End Times. On the way down I'll sing "Age of Aquarius" repeatedly.

Or perhaps I'll go to Idaho and Join General Clay's Children of the Last Days cult...

Yea, I saw that. Hooray for that new concealed weapon law. It makes me feel sooooo much safer.....

So the world won't be ending soon?

Damn, and I was looking forward to telling Jim what I really think about him, his moderating abilities on these fora, and his 007th minute series before he's able to reach for the ejector seat ban member button.

It appears not, no. Doesn't mean you can't still reach for the ejector seat button....

I will say that, after the tragic events of yesterday morning, this topic seems a lot less funny.

They weren't behind the misinterpreting and misrepresenting of the calendar.

Actually, we all ought to thank heavens there wasn't some major disaster today. With all the ludicrous Maya media hype some extraordinary incident like for example that meteorite this April over California could easily have turned into a mass hysteria.

Good point AMC, it's just the end of the Mayan era - who's the idiot that proclaimed this would be the end of the world?! Talk about stretching the truth....!

So apparently the math was wrong and the apocalypse date was not December 21, 2012 but actually September 3, 2015. We've got 3 more years!
