Found this little news piece from the UK Mail Online...

It's been ten years since he last played James Bond, but Pierce Brosnan is still a man of action.

The 59-year-old actor sported a painful looking black eye after he was spotted in Mallorca.

The former 007 star's left eye was noticeably black and blue and swollen.



He flashed a wide grin to photographers as he got into a car, and showed no signs of any discomfort with the eye injury.

It's unclear how Brosnan, who was also spotted enjoying a game of golf earlier, sustained the injury.

Yeah he is aging really well.. Well that black eye isn't that bad, I think he will be fine.

imo in that last one, he sort of kinda looks like George Takei. Weird grin at least.

No idea how he got it, except he was snapped playing golf before, and after...so maybe he didn't hear the "Fore!"?

Irish Central is reporting;

Brosnan is currently in Mallorca filming A Long Way Down with Toni Collette, and he needed the make-up for a fight scene. Maybe he’s staying in character off the set a la Daniel Day-Lewis, because the photo was taken while he was out and about enjoying some down time.
