The first is, of course, Casino Royale in the book-stores from 11th July.
The cover echoes the design of the First Johnatan Cape's edition.
You can find more information on the Adelphi's site: http://www.adelphi.i...o/9788845927010
Take a look on my article for the Italian Blog 24Letture.

"Tutto dunque comincia da qui, dall'odore nauseante di un casinò alle tre del mattino.": indeed. It all started from here, and here we are, 60 years after, still loving this character.

I'd get it just for the cover. I don't speak a word of Italian.
Except for "Fffzzzz!"

In Italy in this Anniversary year there are a few of initiatives:
- the re-edition of Ian Fleming books from Adelphi;
- a special edition of the magazine Action dedicated to Secret Services (September, I think)
- a book on Italian James Bond Location: Dall'Italia con amore (From Italy with love).
- a beautiful exphosition in Valenza of an Italian collector (ended 13th July).

Yes you do, even if you don't know it: in TMWTGG, Bond says "Per ora e per il momento che verra".I don't speak a word of Italian.
Do you know where one can find this book on Italian locations? I'd love to get that. All the more if it's in Italian.It is an hardback edition with a very interesting postface with photos and information from the Ian Fleming life. Thank you, Miles - I'd always wondered how that went (the CC subtitles on the UE DVD only say 'speaks Italian').

Yes, that alternate cover on Amazon is typically, dreadfully pulp.
