(Apologies to Shrublands but this is only availiable from the horses mouth...)! :P

Good news today for the 'Skyfall' Main Titles -

MI6 can confirm that Daniel Kleinman will once again direct the title sequence to the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall".

He first worked on the 007 series when Pierce Brosnan was making his debut in 'GoldenEye' with a stunning sequence that highlighted the fall of the Iron Curtain with hammer and sickle iconography. Kleinman created the title sequences for all of Brosnan's outings, using digital technology and increasingly complex effects. When the franchise rebooted in 2006 with Daniel Craig's 'Casino Royale'. the traditional silhouetted girls were gone, but instead fans were treated to a unique rotoscoped animation.

Director Marc Forster brought his preferred titles company MK12 in to create the 'Quantum Of Solace' credits, so "Skyfall" will be Kleinman's sixth Bond film after a break of six years. Working under his company Rattling Stick, Kleinman is joined by his regular production designer John Ebden for the "Skyfall" sequence.

Shooting for the sequence has already started at Pinewood Studios. British model Charlotte Edwards tweeted that her friend and fellow model Natasha was filming material for "Skyfall".

Outside of his Bond duties, Kleinman is a leading British television commercial and music video director. He consistently wins the top awards for his advertising at Cannes, D&AD, the One Show, British Arrows, Clio, Creative Circle, Midsummer Awards to name but a few. The Gunn Report recognised him as the Most Awarded Director in the World and he has received the President’s Award from the British Arrows and Creative Circle. He has also been rated No1 in Shots Best Director list, was No1 in Campaign’s list of Top Directors for over four consecutive years and was was recently named US Commercial Director of the Decade in Ad Week.

So...thankfully MK12 have been binned, so what do we expect from Kleinman for 'Skyfall'?

Not a huge surprise, but welcome news. Considering the locations and themes, I have a feeling that the title sequence will involve British imperial iconography - a bit like OHMSS, but with a more sinister tone.

Yeah, just nice to hear confirmation, so hopefully the next link will be the singer for the titles itself!

I like the 'OHMSS' nod - this seems a very patriotic Bond film after all.

When it’s the original, I’ve no problem – you’re missing my point. :P

Hopefully, he'll get the gunbarrel right this time.

I suppose it's safe to assume that the title song is done and dusted now, then.

Well he gave us the Brosnan gunbarrels, and they were quality - so let's hope we have the same/similar for Craig.

And I reckon it wont be long now for the singer to be announced, as it MUST be finished and worked in with the titles and lyrics.

Good news! We should get something great then. I loved GE's title sequence.
It's a good thing they're not continuing with the QoS title team...

It seems MK12 were brought on-board by Marc Forster himself, so I guess once he left, so did MK12. Nice to have some Bond continuity. That's what we need in the franchise...continuity for actors and crews.

That is exciting news to me, correct me if I'm wrong but Daniel Kleinman did the title sequence from GE to CR , right?
I love the extra gun barrel in GE that connects the end of the title sequence to Bond burning rubber in the DB5.
I must admit I wasn't a fan of the QOS title sequence or theme song.
Thanks for the news thecasinoroyale.

Glad to help S K Y F A L L - and yeah, Kleinman did the gun-barrel design from GE-CR and the titles too. So all that exceptional Bond work hopefully will continue with 'Skyfall'!

Welcome news indeed! Hopefully we'll get something as stylish as Casino Royale titles, those were Bond with a capital B.

Hopefully Kleinman can return to his GoldenEye form. I thought those titles were excellent, but the titles for TND-CR didn't quite measure up to that standard.

I thought his Casino Royale titles were his best yet. But then again I don't place GE to the same benchmark that you do. I've felt his titles have gotten better with each film.

Good news for sure. On the gunbarrel note, I think it would be perfect to shoot a real gun barrel with a pinhole camera again. With today's cameras you could get an awesome look. Also, put the morse codey bleeps from the very start of Dr No right before the white dots and Bond theme punch in!

Agreed. The TND-CR titles suffer (like much of Maurice Binder's later work) from being over-cluttered.

Really? I thought the DAD titles were one of the best of the series. I'd agree about TND though, a little unimaginative.

Great news! While the computer interface MK12 designed was very slick, the titles were rather uninspired.

Forgot MK12 was responsible for the computer displays in Quantum and the past few games. That would be a good thing to hold over.

Great news! I like all of Kleinman's Bond titles. The QOS desert, gun-pointing and flying bullit motives combined with the occasional white line grid didn't really make a good title IMHO.
