Some people need to remember that:
a. All commercial film trailers are made by seperate businesses, not their respective film production organisations.
b. This is a teaser, obviously the full trailer will show more of the well-known 'Bondian' type stuff, but this is just designed to grab attention and show off action and intrigue.
It's all very clever being so cynical about nothing, just because everyone else is excited, but so far there isn't really anything there to complain about. Of course it's going to be a bit generic, with boring and samey trailer noises - all trailers are because they get outsourced to the same old people making every other trailer for cinemas - that's a given these days and is not the fault of the Bond production. More attention will go towards the feature trailer, as is always is the case. All we can do with teaser trailers in particular is get a sense of the cinematography, the look, the acting and some glimpses of the story we've read about. All look brilliant.

I don't know Steve Carrell from The 40 Year Old Virgin was a good scene.
Wait, that was a wax. Okay sexiest shaving scene in film history goes to Harrison Ford in The Fugitive.

Oh really now? How so?
BTW, good point on the trailer music, I've been getting tired of hearing the same variation of the Bond theme used in the trailers. Gives us something new and not dubstep.

Music is so important to the atmosphere and feel of a film, and is a vital element for taking these new Bonds away from the whole Jason Bourne thing.

Agree with everything you say Leon. My main concern being there is nothing which really seperates this from - let's say for arguments sake - The Bourne Legacy teaser. I find that trailer equally dull. I love the cinematography, and agree it looks better than an 80's film with Brosnan wearing a wig with a broom up his etc.
Hey, there's no rule against not liking it. It just seems a decent piece of work - no more, no less. Of course it's teaser-ish, in a trailer-kind-of-way. That's what it's supposed to be.

Amazing very beautiful shot.........could contend for best picture!

10 nominations, this being a classic Bond film with a deep and dark tone to it. Could this be the first Bond film to score a nomination for Best Picture?

Didn't think we would get the shot of the train crash, looks intense.
Kind of has a 'Joker' vibe when Silva walks toward the camera, doesn't it?

EXACTLY what I thought S K Y F A L L - walking from the exploding hospital in 'TDK', that wild hair, a bit of a crazy shake to his walk...I hear you.

Bond's face when the analyst mentions 'Skyfall' - that brief flash of action, and M looking on...now THAT looks brilliant..acting kudos to Craig!!
True! For me that´s the best shot of the teaser. Bond actually getting terrified for one moment.
This psychological evaluation really seems to hint at a kind of... TMWTGG (novel) sequence?

Good trailer, some amazing shots, but I have to say this just didn't feel like a Bond movie the way it should've felt especially since this is the 50th anniversary. The opening with the word association was not something I would've expected in a Bond movie & we do get a glimpse of Ralph Fiennes without giving away who he plays. "Done" is nailed by Craig followed by many great shots from the skyline in Shanghai to Bond being shaven to M looking over coffins to a glimpse of a shadowy character walking away from fire. As Skyfall appears, Craig's line is terrific followed by a brief string of action scenes.
What really disappointed me was the lack of a Bond theme. I've seen people saying it was very muted & if that's the case it should've been less muted because to me it just sounded like ordinary dubstep you would hear in a Jason Bourne trailer. That's probably what made me slightly disapointed after the first viewing, but watching over again & taking it in, I've already started to like it more.
It did what a teaser trailer is supposed to do:Tease. The word association, all the random images strung together with Craig's line delivery were all terrific. On a 1-10 scale, I give it a 7. Major points off for such a "muted Bond theme". It's the only trailer for any Bond movie I can recall that doesn't have a clear Bond theme played. But it sparked my curiousity & has given us all something to talk about. And given the talent behind it, it will be great even if the teaser isn't quite what I expected.

Musics different in this one. Just a bit though, the dramatic beats seem more distorted.
Sounds like there's some flanging going on.

Those few seconds sums up how the whole movie must feel...the slight look of fear and doubt in Bonds face when "Skyfall" is said and that music cue...very powerful indeed.

Now, this one, this one looks perfect. Can´t not like one bit of it. It´s all very quality driven. Kudos to everyone involved. And to think there´s so much more to SF than what it´s on the teaser...
Awesome!
