I was watching my UE Live and Let Die (Region 1 US) dvd this past week and noticed that it does not have the original mono track on it. However, I did just pull up the blu ray disc specs and the blu ray did include the original audio. Odd!
Was there other Bond UE DVD's that did not include the original audio when issued?
Thanks!!

I noticed a couple of differences in Thunderball that didn't match what I was used to from the VHS:
Those are the only differences I've spotted, and it's only because they were actual changes. Improvements in sound quality are mostly lost to my tin ear.
I rate audio quality by how the explosions sound in TLD.
- "Now you can tell about the one that got away" is now "Sorry old chap - better luck next time."
- Cues from 'Chateau Flight' are played over the action when Bond is spotted among Largo's men while retrieving the bombs.
- The end title music is a different version of the JB theme.

It appears that adding the Roger Moore Commentaries most likely created space issues on the dvd's. So the older mixes were dropped. I think that is what happened.
It's nice that Fox and MGM restored the original audio tracks on blu ray. Blu ray is able to hold more info which allowed them to as well.
