I came across this rare still today. Deleted scene from Moonraker.

It would be great to see more of these deleted scenes on the Bond 50 blu ray set.

Are there other deleted scenes that were captured in stills from the other Bond films??

Alternate take from Diamonds Are Forever??

That One Looks Quite Interesting Indeed! I Don't Recall This Shot In The Movie...

I don't have the stills to hand but there are two CASINO ROYALE deleted scenes that I can think of that were filmed but haven't emerged: Bond removing Mr Bliss on the train so that he can replace him in the poker game, plus Bond and Vesper swimming in the ocean (brief shot in the trailer).

In QUANTUM OF SOLACE, there is a still from a magazine which shows Mr White during the deleted Bond confrontation from the end of the film.

Ahh interesting...the shot of Bond and Vesper in the sea is good one that was cut but in the trailer (looks like they're up to no good in that water too!), but I didn't know Bond removed Mr Bliss on the train. Well, I had an idea because that forms a level in the 'Quantum Of Solace' video game, you have to take Bliss out on the train (they used Marc Forsters likeness for Bliss) and I always wondered what that bit was in there for, if it was just a neat little addition, but if it was a deleted scene, that would have been great to see!

Found a segment of the level (sorry about the audio).

Yes that one, and I also recall a beautiful pic from an underwater scene of Valenka (we only see her emerging from the sea), and that scene with Le Chiffre and Dimitrios with that card cut in half.

Was a big surprise that the scenes of Bond and Vesper swimming didn't make it into the final movie, there were tons of pictures from that shooting.

I hope we get these on the 50th set. Just found out the other day that the entire rooftop chase in OHMSS was actually filmed and not shelved. That would be a gem to see. Really curious to see all the Die Another Day deleted scenes, too.

Gilbert's first version of YOLT was around 20 minutes longer than the version we finally got. Some people even say that the first cut was near 3 hours long! It is time to see some of these scenes.

...huh? I don't think they ever did the whole thing; just finding the bug, getting out, chasing him across the roof, St. Paul's... but not the climax of the sequence -- and, judging by Charles Helfenstein's book, I don't know if it's even survived near 50 years. :-/

Wow! Agreed!!!

Are there any stills from You Only Live Twice of scenes that did not make it into the film?

The OHMSS scene "Phidian listens in" was cut due to time constraints. In addition, Peter Hunt felt it would use too much time to show the chase and death of a very minor character. A full description and photo walkthrough of the filmed scenes is in the very fine book The Making of Her Majesty's Secret Service by Charles Helfenstein.

Highly recommended book!

Now we just need Making of books for the other 22 films!! : )

It's a great book and very insightful. I wish we could have more Bond books done as well as this one. Tons of info, backstory, behind the scenes of the film, Tons of pictures, stills and marketing ads too.

Highly recommended.
