I think that Skyfall should be the Die Another Day of the Craig era because of the 50th anniversary of the movie franchise. DAD marked the 40th anniversary and the 20th film back in 2002. I was around age 16-17 when that movie came out and Brosnan was starting to age. Time always fly. DAD was the first Bond film set in the post-9/11 world. The 9/11 attacks were still bringing everybody down at that time. There were no facebook nor twitter at that day and kids were crazy about the Harry Potter movies.

Skyfall as Craig's Die Another Day? Heaven help!
One shouldn't wish any movie for anyone to become his Die Another Day.

As long as it doesn't turn out to be Craig's MANOS; THE HANDS OF FATE I think I'm going to be OK....

That would be fine with me. Unless there was a double meaning in your post.

It's a conspiracy against you. We've all been reading your posts and brainstorming "What will annoy 007jamesbond the most?", and this is what we came up with.

Job done, I'd say.

So if the film is DC´s TWINE, GF, DAD, ..., does it mean it won´t be DC´s SF?

I know, I know, ..., stupid, but so is most of this thread. Oh well...

IMO of course, I'm hoping SF will be as good and the best film since GE.

If SKYFALL isn't even as good as DIE ANOTHER DAY, we have a serious problem.

That's right. QoS wasn't as "good" as DAD. It was actually about a million times better...

SF = DC's GF/TB/TSWLM/FYEO/LTK/TND.

Enough initials for you?

Can't we say "Skyfall will become Daniel Craig's best Bond film so far" and leave it at that?

The low point was when it was rumoured that Sean Connery could have played Bond's DAD.

Does Napoleon perhaps now sit in a draughty, barren house somewhere on afterlife's version of Saint Helena, silently cursing that blasted farmhouse of La Haye Sainte at the battle of Die Another Day? And plotting a return to his troops currently garrisoned at Never Say Never Again?

Probably. He is certainly cursing the fact that his male anatomy can be found in New Jersey.

What I've always felt regarding what would become Craig's 3rd film is not whether it would be his GF or TSWLM or DAD, but whether it would be his crowning as the best Bond ever. Sean Connery is still regarded as the best by both fans & myself, but if Daniel Craig can hit it out of the park in Skyfall, he might become my favorite Bond. He's already 2nd & with a great performance in a great film can move up to 1st.
