What do we think of Daniels look in the film? It's not a radical departure, but it is still slightly different from what we have seen before, especially from Craig in his last two films.
I really like the stubble, I think it's a really good look and makes him look rather rugged. But I'm in two minds about his hair, it just looks too short for my liking. Thoughts guys?

Just because he appeared that way at the press junket, that doesn't mean he'll have that same look in the actual film.

His hair looks to me just like it did in CR.

I'd think he'll shave off the stubble. Doesn't look good.

I hope his hair will be a little longer near the length of Pierce Brosnan's, like in Tomorrow Never Dies. But with the style he got now, and of course never covering the ears even alittle like what Dalton had in Licence To Kill. His hair color really need to be medium brow to near dark brown that look black.

As for the stubble or scruffy look, maybe it a part in the storyline where Bond does not have time to shave or after what been happening he has not have time to go get his stuff. IF that is what it is, then which comapany will be marketing their razors in the movie. Don't forget a movie is not film in order from the start of the story to the end. So they could be doing the scene already.

There was a rumour lately that perhaps he'll spot a beard in the film, but I'm not a real fan of this to be honest.

I think Daniel Craig just showed up to the Press Conference as Daniel Craig and not James Bond. He is entitled to do that. Everyone was worried about his look in Casino Royale and that turned out fine. (Long blonde hair?) I have a feeling he knows what he is doing. If the script calls for his stubble I'm sure they will darken it.

I think his hair cut is looking perfect. And his stubble, too. Showing his age a bit is always a welcome sign - since Bond is not IMO supposed to be a twentysomething but an older man.

If I remember, didn't Pierce Brosnan have a beard or something during one of the GoldenEye press conferences on his announcement to the role? I think the conferences shouldn't be taken to the style of any character.

I hope Craig goes back to his Casino Royale style, he looked really suave and smart there, hair and clothing.

Here's hoping! :)

Clothing-wise, I don't think there's much of a difference between the two films - if anything Tom Ford brought a slightly more stylish, less 'off-the-peg' look to QOS. And isn't he back this time?

Hair good. Stubble okay.. but i think it should be dyed.

I liked his hair most in CR during the scene where he returns to the bahamas after the miami incident.

As they were shooting that afternoon after the press conference, it is pretty certain that the stubble was there to stay.

Simply, I think Bond has not had time to shave - probably not had any sleep etc. - for the scenes.

We don't know where the Whitehall scenes appear in the story-line, perhaps in the first act, perhaps later in the film.

We'll soon see pictures from the London location shoot this wkened and early next week, so we'll know for sure then.

Indeed, Craig looked as if he'd been up all night. So did Bardem, come to think of it. And Bardem, like Craig, was unshaven. Look at the picture of them together. They look like they've been up all night. I wonder if it's just coincidence, or if they were getting into character.

Craig looked terrible in the press conference. But it will probably look a little bit better after some makeup.

I thought they all looked exhausted. Michael and Barbara also had heavy bags below their eyes. Must have been a last hurrah before work began.

Quite right. I remember Craig on the boat on the Thames arriving at the press conference for CR, with rather long hair and not being as "muscular" as he eventually was in the movie.
That's actually the difference between the actor and the character... ;)

Looking at latest photos from filming DC has the stumble when he is in the vehicle. Part of the story as they trying to keep it as close to realism as possible. As they did with CR

It will NEVER be that close to realism, when there is the super spy formula in the movie. To be close to realism, they have to go the way of The Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, The Siege, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Russia House. Those movies only have the mix of drama and suspense in them.

I think these on-set photos during filming show it. He has the stubble in this particular scene:

Maybe Bond is off duty and MI6 have called him for immediate pickup regarding some intel they have received?

Indeed. The stubble in the photos looks a little thicker and a little more scruffy than it did at the press event. So unless Daniel Craig has the superpower of growing a beard overnight, I think some of his beard is probably makeup.

Not that it REALLY matters, whether its Make up or real - its real. He had quite a beard for the TinTin premier and cut off part of it for the Bond pc - just to glue it on again? No, from what I saw, he is having pretty much the same amount of stubble as in the pc.

Then how do you explain the way it looked thicker and furrier in the on-set photo compared to the press conference?
