"Hollywood MGM Studios have announced the new film about the most famous fictional MI6 agent will hit the cinemas in 2012, while Bond will once again be portrayed by Daniel Craig.
Before the producers decide on the female supporting role, Blic have conducted an online poll at www.blic.rs and Monica Bellucci has received the most votes as the ideal Bond girl of the 38-year-old film series.
As soon there is mention a new James Bond movie is on the horizon, there are speculations who the next femme fatale appearing opposite the agent could be. So far there have been no official confirmations from the studio, while Blic readership and visitors to the online portal would most love to see Monica Bellucci in the role with 23 per cent of votes going the Italian actress’ way. Bellucci’s followers in the poll are her fellow movie stars Jessica Alba and Megan Fox.

She is a total hottie I'd like her in my bed... I mean as a bond girl

Too old.
But Craig's 42. She's practically a spring chicken compared to him!

The next one he'll recycle are Rai and Grover, betcha. Not this one again!
And after that it'll be "Connery returns as Bond's father" (or any other former 007)

Admittedly, the mods have not popped this one up on the main headlines.

All this thread (and the one mi6 decided to put on their main page) is that A film site ran a poll for who would make a good bond girl in bond 23 and Monica won. Thats it. This doesn't mean she has been approached or will do it or is even considered. all this is is that fans think she'd be perfect for bond 23's bond girl. this isn't a rumor at all.

Christ. We've been hearing this one since '97. Seriously.
Coincidentally that's about the time when she was ideal for a Bond girl.
Now she's mid-forties and we recently had an Italian actress. What a crappy poll that somehow Bellucci won. The choices must have been slim. Not to say she's not hot. It's just that they could do so much better.

No, that's Connery. Or is he playing M? Or Bond's dad? Or all three?

Wow, there is certainly alot of negativity on this thread guys.
![]()
And I guess for the long time members this is old news, but I've yet to see this mentioned so I'm glad it was posted.
I saw her in Shoot Em Up and I think she would be perfect. Plus, she doesn't look her age. And since when does age define sexy ?? Oh, when will you youngins learn? LOL
Let me guess, most of you would rather have a just turned 18 year old in the role ?? Just a wild guess.![]()
I think the more interesting (and sexy) Bond's are the ones with integrity. Remember what happened when they went with that whole 'let's try and please everybody' thing in DAD ?
And if not Bond's love interest, would you throw her a bone and let her play, say, the villian ??
THe producers have showed in many many cases that they don't hire big mainstream names like Belluci. Her time was in 1997 when she wasn't that known to the public. Now she's very famous and if she plays the Bond girl she'll cast a shadow over Craig for sure.

I read once that Bellucci was considered for the Paris Carver role, but couldn't do it because of schedule conflicts. Or else they didn't want her for some reason. Who knows if they'd really want her around now? And who's to say she'd be interested?
Or is it all about getting Bellucci into a Bond film, no matter how?

Well spotted. I'd say that's exactly what it is.Does anyone else find it telling that the article refers to Bond as a "38-year-old film series"? I wonder if this poll isn't ten years old and someone decided to dig it up.

Maybe the poll was conducted by a die hard Moore fan who doesn't acknowledge the existence of the Connery era...
