It's a toss up between between Strutter and Hawkins but I'm going to have to go with Strutter. Can't miss him. It's like following a cue ball. B)

Note: Leiter and Strutter are never actually seen together but it is implied that they're partners on the Dr. Kananga/Mr. Big case.

Ed Killifer is not included because he was no longer Leiter's associate the moment he betrayed him. Sharkey is not included because he's not affiliated with any U.S. federal law enforcement agency.

Suppose I'll give my vote to Pam, although I too was a fan of the Strutter character, despite his brief appearance.

I rather liked Harold Strutter. He had a nice, sardonic nature that complimented Felix's more easygoing one.

I'll go for Pam, although I think she comes under Bond girl category rather than Leiter associate. I would have gone for Sharkey if he'd qualified. I also liked Strutter.

However, if I was Leiter, I'd pick Liz and Ava from TLD as my assistants.

You're right. I too see Pam more as a Bond girl than an associate of Leiter's but many Bond girls have had multiple roles if you think about it. Elektra King is both a Bond girl and the film's main villain, for example.

Besides being the Bond girl, I always thought Pam Bouvier was more like a type of informant of Leiter's (or at least a go-between) rather than a partner.

Anyway, to answer the question, my vote goes to Harold Strutter.

I rather liked Hamilton in Diamonds are Forever, largely because he doesn't do anything of any consequence and is therefore absolutely the right person to partner Felix Leiter.

Struter. He's a real secret agent. Even Bond thinks he's a baddie!

I think Sharkey should be an option in the poll.

That's who I picked. I like the fact that TLD gave Felix a chance to have some "Leiter girls" of his own.

I didn't include him because I wanted this poll to only include Leiter's professional partners. Sharkey was a friend/neighbor not a member of a U.S. intelligence agency.

Johnny is a putz and I really like Hawkins but he attempted to kick Bond out of Key West so I picked Strutter.

Went with Beam. Such a smarmy wanker. When he laughs at his own comment about Greene digging for more than diamonds, don't you just want to slap the taste out of his mouth?

I went for Strutter without having to think about it much. I like his little part in LALD, even his death in a weird way - It's not talked about pointlessly. Bond and Felix never find out about it but it doesn't matter because we do and that's all that matters. The actor playing Stutter made a small role stand out extremely well.

Beam's OTT laugh makes me want to see Leiter take him into the airplane's restroom and snuff him.

Johnny's okay, but nothing special. I do like Hawkins (he's actually my number two choice), but not quite as much as Harold Strutter.

I also agree with Jim, Diamonds Are Forever's Hamilton should be included in the poll.

Oops! My bad. I was thinking Jim was referring to Maxwell. Hamilton was just some guy Felix mentioned standing guard outside Bond's Whyte House suite.

Nevertheless, I think Maxwell should be included in the list. (He was the main guy following Tiffany Case at Circus Circus.) At least I have always gotten the feeling that he was Leiter's partner in that film.

I actually voted for Johnny (the first one to do so) only because Sharkey was not included in the poll. Pam is a good Bond character, but not my favorite partner of Felix.

On a side note, I can't believe so many people are voting for Gregg Beam, one of my all time least favorite Bond "allies"! What an arrogant moron he is! And that laugh of his! UGGGHHH!!! B)
