How did Bruce die depends on who u ask either in a helicopter explosion chasing after the mysterious Dr. Hurt or sent back in time by Darkseid's omega Beam and everyone thinks he's dead. I prefer the helicopter explosion.

Is this Cannon yes and i couldn't be happier will be interesting if the follow up to Arkham Asylum (the video game) will feature Bruce as batman or Dick as Batman. I do love Bruce as batman but i like when things are shaken up so for a year or however long this happens to go on i don't mind Dick as Batman and when bruce returns I'll be just as happy.

I like Dick as Batman Damian Wayne as robin on the other hand (bruce's son) meh needless to say i think i'm gonna mosstl buy the batman reborn series as i beleive that is Dick solo as Batman rather then Batman and Robin which is Dick and Damian (though i will pick up the first 2 issues of that as well)

anyone wants more info or wants to chat about Dick as batman Pm me.

It has been announced that Peter Morgan is no longer directing HBO's THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP and is to be replaced by British director Richard Loncraine.

Some sources are suggesting that the change of course for Morgan's latest is due to his commitments on BOND 23 (which those sources are citing as being released late 2010).... though they are ONLY suggesting that so read this with a pinch of Stacey Sutton rock salt.

I'm surprised more people haven't got excited about Zorin's news here.

The truth of the matter is quite simple, however far Purvis, Wade or even Morgan are in writting the script till a director is annouced there is no clear indication when the film is coming out, i'm just waiting for that annoucement.

I'd put money that we get the relase date this month or at least We'd get a month Like May 2011.

I am Still Convinced it will comeout between November 2010 and May 2011. If i'm wrong then so be it. this is just going on instinct. Would be interesting how the "bond only can come out in November or it will fail miserably" crowd react to a May 2011 release date.

More interesting It's been nearly a month since the anouncment and we have had very little new and even fewer rumours. Besides the Sheen Hoopla and some random crackpot ssaying bond 23 would involve Vesper's Twin (uhm yeah i don't see it happening) not much. I was really expecting the Sun to Claim something by now.

What do i need to parade the streets with a sign "Give us a title rumour" lol

I don't think Bond on the Fourth of July would work because Bond is British, not American.

I feel your pain I didn't realise this longer wait would mean less nonsesnse from Tabloids. Imean by this point nearly half of CBN swore bond 22 was Risico. and Why can't people interview Dench or the actor who Play Guy Haines and Mr White about their involvement in bond 23 ?

People had enough of Bond for a while and 6-8 months after the latest Bondfilm there is typical period with very, very, little news.

I just looked at Google trend. Interesting pattern there.

None of the actors, with the exception of Craig, will have any real idea about what lies in store.

Craig is clearly in the loop in terms of story and script development; but even he will have to wait for the first draft to appear.

I don't think we'll hear anything much for a good three or four months.

I imagine that Eon are roughly aiming to start pre-production March or April next year for a Summer and Autumn (Fall) shoot, depending on the required locations of course; for example if the script requires ski scenes and snow exteriors for some of the story, then summer '10 ain't gonna be any good.

My guess is the next thing will be a director announcement rather than screenplay news. I reckon Morgan will start developing/writing roughly at the same time the director starts work and Bond 23 will go from there....
Whilst no news is undeniably frustrating, I personally prefer this scenario against one of offbeat press rumours that often turn out to be complete nonsense.

Like bond 22 being Risico with the Olsen Twins as bond girls B)

Though in seriousness with possible Directors talking about 007 Maybe director announcemtn isn't too far off.

I'll be also interested/excited to se when title rumours start coming out of the wood work Most noatbly if any fleming titles are rumoured and if bond 23 will indeed have a fleming title. Mind you I'm one of those weirdos who thus far loves everything about the Craig bond films and wouldn't change much of anything (i even love the 2 theme songs)

Risico IS still a huge fan fav so maybe this time it will win.

Hey, eventhough it's dead times here, we at least have years and years (and years!) of new 007 film news to look forward to.

Pity the poor Star Wars geeks, and then, in two years, the Harry Potter geeks...In comparison, we're in heaven.

Dude, hire yourself some Morgan DVDs. THE DEAL is excellent (although I dunno if it's available on DVD where you are), and you might as well give FROST/NIXON a go (haven't seen it myself, but it's on my rental list and I'm told it's superb). And then there's THE QUEEN. Familiarise yourself with the bastard. B)

I saw the Queen first run. It wasn't that special, imo. They B)ing gave it an Oscar nom instead of the excellent Casino Royale.

Frost/Nixon never stirred my loins from whatever I saw and read in pre-release...so I never saw it first run. Neither dvd.

What's the deal with The Deal?

I know i am for the simple reason i want to see what he is bringing to the table my money political intrigue and great dialogue.

the political intrigue kinda points to a possible villian

perhaps Haines will try and become head of the UN? i'm trying to think of a political thriller based bond film that still would require multiple exotic locations...

The Queen was meh, I'll agree.

Frost/Nixon was my favorite of last year. I highly advise giving it a rental.

The Deal was also a really good movie. Have to have something of an interest in UK politics though. Tried showing it to a friend and they fell asleep. Anywho, The Deal basically follows Tony Blair and Gordon Brown as the political climate shifts from Thatcher to Labour, culminating in an (alleged) gentleman's deal between Blair and Brown over who gets party leadership, and therefore runs for/becomes Prime Minister, first. It's a really good movie with great performances from Michael Sheen and David Morrissey. I've got it sitting it in my veritable library of DVDs. Haven't watched it in a while...

The Queen makes Casino Royale look like Batman and Robin.

*Cue dramatic music*.

Hyperbole aside I find The Queen to be a much better written and directed film, only rival would be from Craig's fantastic performance as Bond, that IMO should have a won a BAFTA.

With Casino Royale, instead of production a suspense filled spy thriller, they turned into a Bond Begins, with 3 Brosnan like action sequences book ending the film. Along with that you have poorly written dialogue, an generic action score, the same old attention seeking post-menopausal M, poorly constructed romantic subplot with embarrassing dialogue, and repeated use of the word "trust".

The Queen > Casino Royale.

Actually, I agree. CASINO ROYALE is an infinitely superior film. Still, THE QUEEN is better than a kick in the teeth. It's better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper. Just about.

I've heard very good things about it from people I trust. Also, my favourite critic, Leonard Maltin, gives it **** out of ****. Like I say, it's on my rental list.

What's the deal with The Deal?

It's about the power struggle between Tony Blair and Gordon Brown that resulted in the former becoming Prime Minister in the 1990s instead of the latter. Excellent stuff, made for British TV a couple of years ago. As with THE QUEEN and the upcoming THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP, Blair is played by Michael "Blofeld" Sheen.

I think THE DEAL kicks the B) out of THE QUEEN, but then perhaps that's because I'm much more into politics than sentimental, unbelievable, fawning rubbish about Her Maj and co.
