The Cannes Festival attracts the world's biggest film stars, but it seems Europe can't be matched when it comes to glamour.
It was a case of Italy versus France as Monica Bellucci and Sophie Marceau arrived for a photocall for their film Don't Look Back today.
The two slender brunettes each had their own take on red-carpet wear, but looked equally fashionable.

With her long hair loose and wavy Italian Monica, 44, wore a knee-length fitted black dress which clung to her curves.
She teamed it with taupe peep-toe heels which highlighted her long legs.
Former Bond girl Sophie, 42, wore a strapless silver jumpsuit, which she teamed with a gold embellished belt.

In the psychodrama, directed by Marina De Van, Marceau plays Jeanne, a writer who is married with two children.
She starts to see unsettling changes in her home and realises her body is begining to change - but noone around her seems to notice.

Her family dismisses her fears as the result of the stress of having to finish her next book, but Jeanne realizes that something far deeper, far more disturbing is taking place.
A photograph at her mother's house sends her in search of a woman in Italy, where she seeks her true identity.
(Both looking effing amazing!!!)
