I wouldn't mind if she returned one bit. She is one of the only Bond girls in the history of the franchise to not sleep with Bond. If she returned, I think that would change.
Is that why you want her back? Because she never slept with Bond?
I don't dislike Camille, but I don't want her back. And I'm beginning to suspect that her character may have been overrated by many fans.

Not just that. I think her character was fine, I wouldn't see a problem with her returning. It'd get some continuity going in the series as well, with hopefully Wright reprising his role again in Bond 23.
What continuity? For what reason do they need to bring Camille back? I don't need her back. Neither does the franchise. Bond still has to go after Mr. White and the rest of Quantum. That is all the continuation that the franchise needs.
Oh my God!

What I was saying in regards to continuity, is that it could possibly be a good thing to see a past character turn up again. Not many characters do re-appear in Bond, except for the regulars. It could be a little link and connection to the past. Some flow on. That's all.

For what purpose? She's not needed for continuity. The franchise has 'M', Bill Tanner, Felix Leiter, Mr. White and Quantum. They tried that stunt of having a Bond girl return for a second appearance with Sylvia Trench and she barely made it past FRWL. Camille is not needed for another movie. Period. I think that Barbara should give it up. Or is she too lazy to create a new Bond girl or find another leading lady?

That is not yet determined. It is for the powers that be to decide.Camille is not needed for another movie. Period.

In other words, they'll create some contrived reason for Camille to return. Do I sound unecessarily bitter about this? I guess I do. I can't help it. For some reason, this idea of bringing back Olga Kurylenko pisses me off . . . and I don't know why.

Yep and in both of those cases their returns would have been warranted, IMO. XXX instead of Ivanova and Wai Lin instead of Chang (I'm guessing on this one).Wasn't there a rumor that Wai Lin was going to return in Die Another Day, and also that XXX was going to come back in A View to a Kill? None of these ever worked out, and I'd be very surprised if this one does.

I don't think they're planning that far ahead.
As for me, I don't mind having Camille return, but it doesn't have to be in the next movie. It can wait until Bond 24, and then we'll also see how Olga/Camille has matured.

Anyway, if Cammille does come back, I don't want her back fro Bond 23. I want as much distance from Bond's origin and vesper business as possible. I want a brand new fun adventure with Bond at his most traditional best.

Remember they changed the script during the strike? Activision started working on the game during the early stages thus they weren't given enough notice for some of the name changes. It takes longer to make a video game than it does a feature film.Camille Montes, daughter of Ernesto Montes. Ok, now tell me why in QOS: THE GAME her name is Camille Rivera?

I wouldn't be opposed to Camille returning but I'd rather see the return of Leiter, Tanner and Mr. White. I can't imagine why the Bond 23 plot would require Camille returning unless Haggis gets his way and has her mother Bond's child.
Oh hell no, I don't want DAYS OF OUR BOND!

It would retroactively lessen the power of QoS if Camille ends up playing the role of traditional Bond girl down the line. I'm more than happy leaving her as the only recipient of the Gala Brand award, the one that Bond let go (or the one that let Bond go). I'm sure her character will be an exciting source of material for fan fiction writers, and she will definitely prove to be one of the most respected women in the Bond series.
That's the best reason I've heard for not having her back

I think it would be cool if she were brought back, but possibly not as the main Bond girl. That might be breaking tradition a little too much. I also (kind of) like the Gala Brand element there.
On the other hand, I'm all for Bond 23 being a complete stand alone.

Well, I'm getting a bit tired of people using "overrated" to undermine the opinions of others who disagree.I don't dislike Camille, but I don't want her back. And I'm beginning to suspect that her character may have been overrated by many fans.
Speaking only for myself, the reason I wouldn't mind seeing Camille come back has nothing to do with whether she did or did not sleep with Bond in this film (my take on it is that she didn't). I like the character and the way she was tough, yet obviously vulnerable at a very visceral level when it came to what happened to her family. And Bond could identify with that.
However, I feel that the way she and Bond left one another was perfect. My preference is that that be it, but if handled in a plausible way, then I'm also not opposed to the idea of her returning, either.

Quantum of Solace is the first Bond sequel - directly following Casino Royale - so there’s a good chance the next Bond film may be a sequel too. In that case, might Camille return?
“All these journalists are asking me whether Camille is coming back but it just never happens - they always want a new Bond girl in every picture”, Kurylenko who inadvertently shares the same agent as Casino Royale’s leading lady Eva Green. “Theoretically it’s possible, but they always like new faces.”
“Maybe I come back in a few Bonds from now as an old lady and Bond will be like ‘Hey! You’re still alive!?’”, she laughs. “Maybe I’ll do it when I’m like 50 years old. I could be a grandmother bond girl!”

Seek therapy. There are bigger concerns in the World of Bond to be pissed about.... and the World in general.

There's a thread where we're discussing other types of BondGirls we'd like to see in the films if anyone wants to get in on that discussion too: http://debrief.comma...p...c=52066&hl=
