I've seen a few requests for the lyrics, so here is my attempt. Any other suggestions here please.

Another ringer with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty
Another one with the golden tone voice poisoning your fantasy
Another bill from a killer turned a thrill into a tragedy

A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in your eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Another tricky little gun giving solace to the one that will never see the sun shine
Another inch of your life sacrificed for your brother in the nick of time
Another dirty money, heaven sent honey turning on a dime

A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in your eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Another girl with her finger on the world singing to you what you want to hear
Another gun thrown down in surrender took away your fear
Another man that stands right behind you looking in the mirror

A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in your eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Interesting rhyme pattern. The lyrics are definitely better than those of TMWTGG and AVTAK. Approved ;-)

I know the player with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty

I heard that as "Another player...", which certainly fits with the rest of that verse - and the others.

Have to say those lyrics are fun. Everyone hears something radically different. They're like Rorschach-lyrics.

I do like the lyrics. They're very evocative and there's some nice repetition in there. It's the music itself that I'm not sure of. There are some nice elements - the ominous strings and brass and the rising and falling piano notes - but it seems a bit of a mish-mash to me (then again, "Live And Let Die" is arguably the greatest mish-mash in musical history!).

It might be a grower; I think the main titles that accompany the track will make or break it for me.

(Thanks for posting these, Vauxhall!)

I only hear "Another ringer with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty..." Sorry, I've tried my best to hear other words instead, but I just can't. :(

I did think I heard that as well, Publius. It mightn't be just you. The BBC transcribes them as "Another blinger..."; I hope they're wrong... *shudder*

Yeah, think I can hear what you guys are getting at here. I certainly hope it's not "blinger"... We'll go with "ringer" for the moment then.

Actually, there appears to be a kind of rhyming scheme in there (which is a bit skewed in Keys' lines), that works better with "ringer"...

Another ringer with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty
Another one with the golden tone voice and then your fantasy
Another bill from a killer turned a thrill into a tragedy

...

Another tricky little gun giving solace to the one that will never see the sun shine
Another inch of your life sacrificed for your brother in the nick of time
Another dirty money, heaven sent honey turning on a dime

...

Another girl with her finger on the world singing to you what you want to hear
Another gun thrown down in surrender took away your fear
Another man that stands right behind you looking in the mirror
...or maybe it's just me.

What the hell's a blinger?

One who enjoys bling.

The Urban Dictionary suggests some entertaining options actually:
- "One who blings in a fashionable sense."
- "When you cannot determine whether a girl is blonde or ginger."

The third option is more controversial...

Given how much the rest of the lyrics are reflecting the theme of deception, "ringer" would fit in great. I'd be surprised if they shoehorned in "blinger," which just doesn't make sense in that context.

There is internal rhyme going on, but I think it's this

Another tricky little gun giving solace to the one that will never see the sun shine
Another inch of your life sacrificed for your brother in the nick of time
Another dirty money, heaven sent honey turning on a dime

...

Another girl with her finger on the world singing to you what you want to hear
Another gun thrown down in surrender took away your fear
Another man that stands right behind you looking in the mirror

As for the first line, I hear "Another ringer..."

As I hear it, similar to what Vauxhall posted, just the slight change at the start:

Another blinger with the slick trigger finger for Her Majesty
Another one with the golden tone poisoning your fantasy
Another bill from a killer turned a thrill into a tragedy

Yeah!
A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in the eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Another tricky little gun giving solace to the one that will never see the sun shine
Another inch of your life sacrificed for your brother in the nick of time
Another dirty money, heaven sent honey turning on a dime

Well!
A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in the eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Cue wailing banshee...

Another girl with her finger on the world singing to you what you want to hear
Another gun thrown down in surrender took away your fear
Another man that stands right behind you looking in the mirror

A door left open
A woman walking by
A drop in the water
A look in your eye
A phone on the table
A man on your side
Or someone that you think that you can trust
It’s just another way to die

Another minger with some slick R&B but it's a travesty
Another "singer" who don't know what Double-O music's meant to be
Another nail in the coffin of Bond, did they write this one on LSD?

For fans the season's open
On "Another Way to Die"
A leak to the fora
The anorak as spy
You played it to Aunt Mabel
And then watched as she died
And posters whose opinions that you trust
Tut-tut Alicia and Jack White

Another ****ty little song gets up your nose, do you suppose it's the emperor's new clothes?
And what used to be good taste is replaced by an aural punch in the face
And everybody said why can't the fools just use the instrumental version instead?

For fans the season's open
On "Another Way to Die"
A leak to the fora
The anorak as spy
You played it to Aunt Mabel
And then watched as she died
And posters whose opinions that you trust
Tut-tut Alicia and Jack White

Another verse that's even worse than the one before, oh will it ever end?
Say what you like about Dame Bassey, she may not have been sassy but at least she didn't drive people round the bend
Another bling from the sting of the golden ring ting-a-ling-a-ling do they make it up as they go along, d'you think?

For fans the season's open
On "Another Way to Die"
A leak to the fora
The anorak as spy
You played it to Aunt Mabel
And then watched as she died
And posters whose opinions that you trust
Tut-tut Alicia and Jack White

Amazing the way lyrics can leave you cold or steam you up isn't it?

Where's the raunchola? It's severly lacking.

I'm going to say it, I feel it's 'desperate" move by EoN et al to appeal to a part of the market they feel may not like Bond..to make him less "Brit/snobby" and more "street credible"..sorry if that sounds a little narrow minded.

Even though CR managed to break that part of the image but it had to be said.

Maybe desperate move is the wrong term...maybe "calculated" is better..

This song will get more air time certainly than others.

It will be very interesting to see if this song cracks the US market. Madonna's Die Another Day is probably the only one since the beginning of the Brosnan era to actually get some significant air time on the radio.

I recall some mentions (by David Arnold, perhaps?) that they were hoping Chris Cornell's 'You Know My Name' would fix this, but that certainly wasn't the case.
