Great find. Certainly seems official.

Well I can live with this collaboration as I like both artists, and thank god they haven't tried to fit "Quantum of Solace" into the title song. I like the sound of Another Way to Die, despite it sounding like a cliche in the same mould as Die Another Day.

Thank god White is in on it. Keyes couldn't do the whole thing by herself without me falling asleep.

How do you edit the subject line - I mispelled Alicia Keys name?

I don't think you can. Perhaps a moderator will be able to change it for you.

Alicia Keys, Jack White Team For Bond Theme
Ann Donahue, L.A.

July 29, 2008 , 3:05 PM ET
http://www.billboard...t_id=1003832786

Alicia Keys and the White Stripes' Jack White will record the theme song to "Quantum of Solace," the 22nd James Bond film, which hits U.S. theaters Nov. 7.

The song, "Another Way To Die," will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history. White wrote and produced the song, and also will play drums. The soundtrack to the movie will be released Oct. 28.

The score for the film will be composed by David Arnold.

"Quantum of Solace," starring Daniel Craig, will be directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Paul Haggis.

Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis had previously been rumored as the vocalists for the latest Bond theme.

I doubt Eon would let this slip before an official announcement. Who knows?

Chris Cornell was certainly revealed for CASINO ROYALE before the official EON press release. These are all reputable sources, so I'm convinced.

Seems pretty concrete, what with the song title and everything.

But I can't help feeling extremely bored by the idea of Alicia Keys singing the title song.

A duet. Awesome. That's something I've been wanting for a long time. I like Alicia Keys and I've heard of Jack White but I'm not really familiar with his music.

This must have truth. It is from Billboard, the big American music industry newspaper. They even have the name of the song. Jack White and Alicia Keys have been mentioned before. I think it has truth. Is exciting, no? Also, it fits with title design being done on the MK12 having been done.

Interesting duet combo...wasn't Jack voted one of the 20 greatest guitarists in rock history a couple of years ago.

Alternative Rock meets Hip Hop & Soul. Who'd have thunk it?

Oooh!! This could be interesting!! :( I'm kinda bummed the track isn't actually called Quantum of Solace, but "Another Way To Die" sounds cool!! (I hope it'll work better than Die Another Day! ) Jack White is quite a talented song writer and I imagine that the song will not be anything like the White Stripes stuff so that'll work. And a duet with Alicia Keys...wow! I have hopes for this..

That was what caught my attention as well - awfully close to Die Another Day.

But - in the context of Bond surviving Vesper's death and seeking revenge in this film - Another Way to Die could fit in several scenarios and fit perfectly.

I've never really disliked anything about a movie, even Bond movies, right when things were announced, but Jack White and Alicia Keys? Especially that HE wrote it? This could go wrong rather quickly me thinks. I'm rather in between on the title as well. Kinda Flemingish, but the cheese factor is way high.

If this is true it's not thrilling me. Just not in to either one. The title is a bit too close to Die Another Day, you'd think EON would have them maybe tweaked it a little.

I'll live, I wasn't too sure about Chris Cornell or YKMN when I first heard it, now I totally dig it. So who knows. I'll try to keep an open mind.

Didn't BBC (radio) have a joke male/female duet for QoS a few months back?

Huh? Alicia Keys had nothing to do with American Boy. That's Estelle and Kanye West (unless I'm thinking of another "American Boy").

As for me, I like Alicia Keys. She has probably the most powerful voice in mainstream music right now. As for Jack White, I'm not really familiar with either the White Stripes or his solo work, but after a couple listens to his stuff on YouTube, he has a pretty good voice.

I only wish that the title wasn't so generic and that Arnold could write the songs. For as much flack that Arnold receives for his scores, you have to admit that his title songs were well written.

So when should we expect this to leak

No seriously does anyone have an idea when we'll hear it? This has to be the most bizzare sounding duet I've ever heard of but in an article Alicia described it as something like rock, blues and soul do I'm not expecting a generally "bondian" song this time around, but Jack White and Alicia Keys are both songwriting geniuses (sp?) so my expectations are fairly high.

I was wondering this myself. I've conducted some research and it seems Cornell filmed the YKNM music video in October 2006, and Casino Royale was released in the November, so the music video was created a month in advance. So If this is true, we should expect the music video to be released in September, if Quantum of Solace sticks to the October 31st release date.

BUT since MK12 are apparently editing the title sequence, I should think that the song does exist somewhere.

Duet, eh? Interesting. I don't have any thunderous opinions on this. I'll wait for the song.

Not bothered about Keys, although I'm sure she can sing, but any pop factor from her will be offset by Jack White's credibility.

I like the sound of this...

Seems like those Last Shadow Puppets guys might have been right when they said that they'd Jack White was doing it...

The impression I get is that this song is very much Jack White's baby. Therefore, it could be more like "Jack White featuring Alicia Keys" rather than a full blown duet. We shall see.
