Prison Break: News or Blues?

Your news, your opinions are most welcome.
I've loved the show since the beginning. And though I had mixed opinions about season three, a final fourth season could change that. Imagine: a show that checked out in style, when the time was right. And imagine the classical structure:
1: The prison break
2) On the Run (The Great Escape)
3) Another prison, second break
4) On the run..but toward, not from: catching/bringing down the baddies?
I'm all ears, as CraigBond would say!

As well as the "on the run" antics, let's not forget about T-Bag, Belick, and Sucre, all still in prison, so at least some of the season will be a combo of In and Out of prison scenes.

The new TV teasers hint at the return of a major character, presumed dead. This show is so special, and so important, to me that I've invented a new form of alert--called The Dodger Spoiler Wacker--to conceal the breakthrough news from any virgin eyes.
If you'd rather know than not know, here is all you need to do to read the shocking secret:
Tap the exclamation point highlighted in purple...and whisper Judo Chop's name:
!
There, now, wasn't that fun!

Is it really a spoiler if they're building their entire ad campaign around it? If "this character" is really back...oh jeez. Sounds kind of lame. On the plus side, looks like T-Bag is out and about in the world, which should be fun, his road trip adventures in Season 2 were the highlight of that year!

I will be interesting to see how they explain this one.Hmm, I just went searching and came up with this :

I agree on the T-Bag road trip.

What's got me going about the teasers on the tube is this: the grim and gritty, sometimes heavygoing, series seems to be headed toward...you'd half-think...a somewhat lighter finale. Me, I'd love to see that. Not a U-turn, mind you. Not a violation of what's gone before. But, come on, these guys have been through hell. So leave us viewers with smiles on our faces. If T-Bag does get a stake through his heart, find a way to close the show that still leaves us whistling a somewhat merry tune.

The final season's drawing near...and tonight Fox is running a rerun of either the last or the next to last episode of season 3. Can't wait!
Might check that out so I know where we are. Hmm, but does the "plot" even matter at this point?

they ran the next to last episode and run last season's finale next week. As for the plot, the teasers are driving me right up the wall: doesn't it look a little as if the entire gang is recruited as a sort of Dirty Dozen, with even T-Bag a loveable mutt?
I don't care--I want more now!

Entertainment Weekly says the series gets back in high gear with the 2-hour season opener. The Dirty Dozen direction I sensed is confirmed--and more than one major character will bite it in this show.
My confident prediction:
Bellick
Less confident:
The Evil Woman
A poignant prayer:
Please don't kill T-Bag or Mahone!

Monday, September 1, is the big night for the select group of members who follow this wonderful show (despite the rough going last season).

Well I think T-Bag and the two brothers are safe, as those three ARE the show. Belick, Mahone, and Sucre are all fair game. I don't think Belick and Sucre have any real purpose left in the show? Mahone appears to be up to something, judging from last season's finale, but the other two are filler at this point. So I'll say Sucre, just for the hell of it.

The story line's been opened up wide for a wild-ride season. And the show's classical structure is looking even better:
Season One: A: prison breakout.
Season Two: B: road trip.
Season Three: A: another prison breakout.
Season Four: B-C: combination road trip and series of break-INs.
No way of knowing if this show will be back for a fifth season. But if it does end after this year, I believe it will have been unique in its sensational structure.

Wellllllll! Talk about major surprises! I'll have to keep this spoiler free, but last night's rock'em episode is all the proof I need to know this show is back on track! Three die--and a big McGriddle for anybody out there who picked out all three. I'm pleased to say the Dodger failed to guess even one.
Hmm, I'm struggling to remember who numbers 2 and 3 are. I guess we're talking about :
Anyway, looks like they're yanking the show in an all new direction, sort of Burn Notice meets Mission Impossible, with a bunch of guys outside the law pulling off government-sponsored heists and schemes, and crazy T-Bag somewhere in the mix. As if there weren't enough Hannibal Lecter-like references about him, the Bagster actually now goes full-on Lecter!

His name is Wyatt (played by Cress Williams). He's been in a lot of TV shows (NYPD Blue, Nash Bridges, Law & Order, ER).Alert: per TV Guide, next week's episode may feature fireworks between Mahone and Scary Black Dude (anybody know his name?)
