Hello everyone,
My name's Phil and this is my first post. I really didn't know which was the best Bond site to join for a while because there are quite a few but I've decided 'Commander Bond' can't be beaten. For my first post, i thought i'd give you all a little something.
Back in late 2006, Channel Four in the UK made a documentary called 'James Bond's Greatest Hits', using the excuse of a public vote to find the nation's favourite Bond song to explain why the theme songs from 'Never Say Never Again' & 'Die Another Day' beat 'All Time High'. I thought this doc would be rubbish and just an excuse to play Bond clips and music videos but actually, you get to hear the behind the scenes controversies, the alternate songs and see the music video for 'Never Say Never Again'.
Anyway i've just uploaded it in 12 parts and here it is:

You might find some other things you like on my channel but don't hold me to that. Enjoy!

Pretty good so far. I've watched up to part 7. I like the bickering over singing TMWTGG and also TND. Some interesting tidbits that I never knew also.

Thanks for the heads up. I will see what happens and if they get taken off. There's a chap on youtube who has loads of James Bond TV documentaries from the past and he's still got them up.
The only point of the stuff i'm uploading is preserving videos that have never been seen since and people across the pond will never have seen. Hopefully there won't be a problem.

I've been watching this on the installment plan (a few parts whenever I'm able), and I've got to say this is fascinating! I didn't even know about the Alice Cooper "Man with the Golden Gun" until I saw this, and I'm not sure which is weirder -- that Alice Cooper tried to do a Bond theme or that he had Liza Minelli doing backing voice work! I've since sought it out, and it WOULD have been better than Lulu's (just about anything would have, really). If you were listening to a compilation album and right after McCartney's "Live and Let Die", there was Cooper's "Man with the Golden Gun", it would have fit; there would have been a logical progression as opposed to the wreck that we got.
Anyway, I'm already recommending this documentary heartily to friends, relatives, and co-workers!
Thanks!
