Sony owns a majority of MGM therefore their Columbia Pictures logo went first. MGM went second instead of UA because UA has been separate from MGM since The World is not Enough, I think. Tom Cruise owns UA now.Casino Royale is introduced with the Columbia logo and not a United Artists logo. Even after UA became part of MGM, and UA's portfolio dwindled to only containing James Bond, the UA logo was still used. Any body know the reasons behind this change?

Not unless Barbara and Michael are stupid enough to let Tom Cruise in as an executive producer...Can we see UA's logo in Quantum of Solace or Bond 23 perhaps?
We'll see the MGM logo again but not the UA logo.

Actually, Cruise would be excellent as Scorpius should they ever choose to adapt that book, if you see what I mean.

At least I hope that's what you meant. It's been awhile since I've read Scorpius...

Isn't it nine years late for that? The UA logo hasn't appeared on a Bond film since Tomorrow Never Dies...I'll miss it.

Yeah. I think they just updated the old logos to the current one.Hasn't that fantastic UA logo been attached to most of the older films on DVD?

I loved the UA logo for GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Really professional and had a great sound to it.
Same here. The Columbia logo just isn't the same

But it's not that big a deal.
