Aw, heck! I gotta wait until the tenth season to get this? You're killin' me, Bill! (no pun intended; I'm strictly *genuine* retro!)
EDIT: That episode, "Deep Cover", aired exactly 30 years ago today.

Watch out! She's tougher than she looks.
She was pretty tough as Octopussy. Got any Hawaii 5-0 clips of Luciana Paluzzi's appearance on the show?
Didn't George Lazenby also appear on HAWAII FIVE-O?
Yes. It was an episode called (I think), "The Year of the Horse," filmed in Singapore. It was a two-hour episode that was the final show of the 11th season (and James MacArthur's final appearance in the show).

Here's a clip of Max Zorin meeting Dr. No's Felix on the show
http://www.youtube.c...feature=related
While it's not in that clip, that episode also includes NBC Sunday Night Football announcer Al Michaels as a lawyer. He was an announcer for Honolulu's minor-league baseball team at the time and the show often employed "locals" for bit parts.
Other Five-O/Bond connections:
--Soon Tek Oh (sorry, I'm unsure of spelling), too many times to count.
--Luciana Paluzzi (10th season)
--Harold Sakata (fifth or sixth season; it's the episode with Andy Griffith as the head of a family of grifters. "Don't Shoot I'm a Family Crook")
EDIT:
--I don't know his name, but he was the "bad*ss" karate guy in TMWTGG. In Nine Dragons, Five-O's ninth season opener, he plays an undercover Hong Kong policeman who gets betrayed and hacked to bits.

Since you're the resident Hawaii 5-0 expert, Mr. Solo, I have another question for you. The last two days I watched my local station play two reruns of the series. One involved McGarrett dealing with a vengeance seeking assasin who had metal hooks for hands and the other involved an insane comic strip fan who killed people just because they physically resembled villains in the strip while stalking a pretty girl who looked like the comic strip's heroine. In both episodes, they aired the pre title teasers prior to the main titles. Is my local station reediting these episodes or did they eventually moved the pre-title action sequences till after the opening credits?

Pre-titles sequences ended after the fourth season. One of the episodes you describe, titled "Hookman," was the first episode of the sixth season.
Starting with the ninth season, each episode ended with a short "tease," maybe 60-90 seconds, of quick clips from the episode ahead of the main titles.
In the fifth season, some episodes look as if the script were done with a pre-credits sequence in mind. But they certainly were not edited that way.

Thanks. I saw an episode last week about a couple(Apollo from Battlestar Galactica and a lady who looked like Kirstie Alley but wasn't her) who were stealing babies in Hawaii and taking them to the mainland where Oscar from the 6 Million Dollar Man would put them up for adoption. It looked like there was a pre-title sequence but they aired it after the main titles. Maybe it's the way my station edits them. They also eliminated the reshowing of the title before commercial breaks. Or did the producers stop doing that too?

Showing the Five-O logo before commercial breaks lasted all the way through the series. It sounds like your local station is hacking them off.

Yep. So they can generate more revenue. I don't blame them really. But I've gotten spoiled by the full, clear presentation on the DVDs without editing.
Here's is an impressive version of the theme song. It's kinda slow and melancholic and nicely underscores the surfing action that accompanies it.
