Just found out by accident that little known to Bond fans....the foul-mouthed landlady constantly with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth, who is actually a Kung Fu master in Stephen Chow's ground breaking comedy "Kung Fu Hustle" was actually a Bond girl in "The Man With The Golden Gun"!!

Her name is Yuen Qiu. She was one of the two Kung Fu girls in TMWTGG who saved Roger Moore's Bond in Thailand.

This is her bio in imdb.com:

YUEN QIU

Birth Name
Kan Chia Fong

Mini Biography
Apprenticed Chinese martial arts and Beijing-opera skills with Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung Kam-Bo under the same master at China Drama Academy in her younger days, Cheung Cheun Nam (aka Yuen Qiu) has worked briefly as female stunt and night club performer at late 60s to early 70s. Seeing the future for female stunt was not promising, she got married in 1974 at the age of 24 after finishing a small role in her so far one and only one international production, James Bond 007's "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974). She acted as a girl student rescuing Roger Moore.

Destiny plays its tricks and magic again. Having been off hook from Hong Kong's showbiz for more than 28 years, she starred again in Kung Fu Hustle (2004) just by chance. She was only accompanying a junior woman fellow (of China Drama Academy) at the audition but the director's eye was on her. Reports show that Stephen Chow got her nod after unremitting and persistent persuasion.

Her first grandchild was born in 2004.

She was 24 years-old in TMWTGG? Wow. She looked half her age in that movie.

She surprised the audience with her comedic acting skills and Martial Arts performance in HFH, apparently she's revived her acting career totally. After HFH, she's been cast in a number of Martial Arts comedies from Hong Kong. Who'd know? You'd be big and famous again after your grandchild was born. That's show biz for ya!
