dalton had the worst hairstyle of all the bonds.
it was that nerdy side parted 'german helmet' cut .... i assume he had those big swooshy triggers to hide big ears , thats the only reason i can assume.
Good job he wasn't blond, then. I'm guessing you'd've positively loathed him...

How can you "just realize" that you "never liked Dalton" because of his hair? I mean, wouldn't you realize you had a problem with his hair the first time you saw it, and not years later? That's like buying a car and putting 3000 miles on it before exclaiming, "Wait a minute! I don't like this color!"
I was okay with Dalton's hair in TLD, though it was a bit "poofy" in the style of the times. I thought it looked better where it was "flat" in LTK, like at the wedding and especially in Sanchez' villa, but when he swept it back for the casino scenes it was really creeepy, like maybe if Eddie Munster grew up into a psyschotic killer. And when he smiled and chuckled, it was the first time a Bond actually scared me. He looked like a shark on legs. Why Sideshow went with this look for their action figure is beyond me.

but what i couldnt or cant get out of my mind is the fact he looked like a head of geography department who drives an old volvo estate.
there was nothin risky or shexy about dalton.
he was the bond i least wanted to be.
he was RADA by numbers.

Personally, I didn't mind Tim's change from TLD to LTK hair as much as Rog's switch from "simple side-part" to "big ol' swept back swoosh."
LOL!

He had zero chemistry with the ladies. That could be a result of the poor actresses (they were pretty bad) but in his other work I never saw Tim sizzle with the same sexuality as Connery or Craig.

Hang on a sec, I've always said I never found him sexy or dangerous, but I would say one thing he did have for certain was great chemistry with Kara. He didn't do too badly with Pam and Lupe either. He had zero chemistry with the ladies. Whoa! Tim not dangerous? Really?Hang on a sec, I've always said I never found him sexy or dangerous, but I would say one thing he did have for certain was great chemistry with Kara. He didn't do too badly with Pam and Lupe either.
I don't want to redirect this thread from its critical path which is to further expound on the correlation between Dalton's hair and regard to which the undercapitalizing jaws_dentist holds him.
So I go looking for a pre-existing 'dangerous Bond' thread. If not, I build one, because, if there is one thing I thought Tim brought to the role, it was danger.

Yeah. I've had this discussion before. Sorry, I just don't see it. Kindly and avuncular? Yes. About as scary as my fluffy slippers. So I go looking for a pre-existing 'dangerous Bond' thread. If not, I build one, because, if there is one thing I thought Tim brought to the role, it was danger.

As Royal Dalton points out, Tim hated RADA and never finished the course. He was even saying in recent interviews how much he hated it there and thats 40 years later so I dont think he draws too much from his RADA training.

As for being sexy, IMO he is the only Bond who has ever caught my imagination in that way. I see him as an enigma, which makes him very interesting.
