dalton had the worst hairstyle of all the bonds.

it was that nerdy side parted 'german helmet' cut .... i assume he had those big swooshy triggers to hide big ears , thats the only reason i can assume.

Actually I rather liked his haircut in The Living Daylights, but hated the greasy one in Licence To Kill, a stupid choice that was...

Dalton was easily one of the best Bonds. He really reminds me of Flemings Bond. To say you don't like him because he had the worst hairstyle seems a little silly. To each his own, I guess.

i liked dalton acting wise, although he could have been a little more charming. the only gripe i ever had of him though was that i did not find him to be very imposing physically. this was just as bad with moore and brosnan in my opinion though. connery, lazenby, and craig have been the only ones that have made me think they could really kill somebody with their bare hands.

I found Dalton to be very physically imposing, far more then any other Bond until Craig. Just watch that scene in LTK when he sneaks aboard the yacht, hes all business, ruthless and efficient. And the way he delivered the "Move and you're dead" line to Lupe was perfectly chilling.

And not to like him because of his hair is pretty silly. Well, not so pretty anyway.

If you compare the photos on the cases for both films, you'll note that Tim's hair had thinned dramatically from TLD to LTK. He decided to go with his own hair, which must have kept his hair stylist in a frantic flurry--after swimming and in action scenes they had to keep his hair looking full. I watched the two films back to back recently. And it was hard not to notice. But why focus on it? After all, stare too hard at Sir Sean's rugs and the magic of his movies disappears as well.

I didn't like the choice they made with his slick back Dracula hair for the casino scenes but it's normal the rest of the flick. I always assumed he was trying to emhance his cover of sleazy assassin/playboy so maybe he was just 'working'. Anyway, I liked Dalton becuase he was movie star handsome and classy but he had character in his face, like he really could be a secret agent(and other reasons such as high quality acting). Brosnan,OTOH, looks like a film star/model. I just don't see him doing anything in life outside of show business.Still, a good Bond star but less convincing for me.

Craig definately looks like James Bond of the real world ie if there were a 007, he'd look like that and not a perfect looking matinee idol.

Personally, I didn't mind Tim's change from TLD to LTK hair as much as Rog's switch from "simple side-part" to "big ol' swept back swoosh."

Charisma is more important than hairstyle for Bond. Some Bonds had it....some did not.

But he had so much more of it! And still does in recent photos. In this sense, Laz remains the real Hair Apparent.

Yeah, it's all in the hair. Witness Connery's zero charisma in his bad-wig films, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and Never Say Never Again. 'Deadly' Dalton's bad-hair-day films speak for themselves. And as for Brosnan's GoldenEye mullet, and 'plugged into the mains' spiky hairdo from The World Is Not Enough, well 'nuff said.

Well said. And, if anyone has the equipment, I'd love to see some bad hair shots of the other Bonds whose 'do's supposedly put Tim's to shame!

Enough of this Fluff!!!

The only thing that comparison tells me, is that they're two totally different hairstyles!

The only similarity between them, is that they're both hair. :cooltongue:

Keep trying, though.

I don't think hair should be a factor in judging bond actors, and even if the hair bothers you I think it would be silly to say that it outweighed dalton's superb playing of the role.

dalton was far too serious and angsty.

he had no charisma or 'jeu de vivre' .. and for our UK forum users .. he was like david platt in a tux.

no thanks .

Which David Platt? The footballer, or the one in Coronation Street? :cooltongue:

(Not that he's actually anything like either of them, mind you.)

I don't agree at all. Watching Craig as Bond has made me appreciate Dalton much much more

Dalton's hair seemed to fit the character. At times it looked almost a little too long, but Fleming's Bond had this forlock that kept sweeping down over his forehead above his eyes. Sometimes Bond's lady friends would sweep it out of the way while they talked to him. Tania in FRWL commented on his not using any kind of hair gel, and he referred to it as a filthy habit.

Connery, Lazenby, Moore, and to a lesser degree Brosnan, looked like they wouldn't get a hair out of place in a wind tunnel. Craig almost doesn't have any hair, seeing that he has more of Ceasar cut in CR.

Shouldn't it be "Not a sound or you're dead!"?

I may be putting my LTK expertise on the line here, but I think it's "make a sound...and you're dead". :cooltongue:

Talisa Soto - 'actress' - forced to keep her mouth shut... Yes! That scene is more than satisfying

And only moments later showing a nice amount of skin, then informing Bond of her role in a relationship. Dalton's reaction is somewhere between apathetic, disgusted, amused, and turned on. Priceless.

Anyway, I've found this thread highly entertaining so far. I honestly prefer Dalton's hair in LTK to any of Brosnan's styles, Lazenby's, and Connery's toupee. Not as good as his hair in TLD or Moore or Craig's hair, IMO, but it worked just fine and looked perfectly natural.

What I meant was: Any man who can keep her silent deserves credit because every line from Talisa Soto is embarrassing. Cute but not capable.
