Okay, after seeing Vesper's and Solange's dresses in CR, how would you rank the most beautiful dress in Bond films (and they have to be evening gowns)? Here's my pick:

#1 - XXX in her black dress in TSWLM
#2 - Solange's red dress in CR
#3 - Domino's white dress in the Casino in TB
#4 - Vesper's black dress in CR
#5 - Paris Carver's dress in TND

How would vote?

After seeing Solange in that dress, I can't remember any other. :cooltongue:

XXX's dress and Solange's dress certainly have that effect IMO (leave a man dazed for a moment)...but if you try thinking hard, the others may come back to your mind.

Yeah, XXX in the black evening gown was pretty fantastic. I remember thinking that was a solid black gown when she walked in, then turned to approach Bond, and there were her legs! Hi, Anya's legs! Good times.

I hope the guys on this list don't like posting to the threads about Craig's muscles more than a thread about gorgeous women in hot dresses!

Would have to make one wonder. :cooltongue:

Solange walking (bouncing) around the Aston Martin at night may be the 2nd hottest shot in a Bond film to date IMO. Gotta love that dress!

Er, this thread is probably not for me :cooltongue:, but I find Solange's dress a bit too obvious. I mean, I find trying to be sexy the least sexy thing of all. It worked, though, for the scene and the character, I just think that type of outfit tends to look cheap in real life. Anya's dress was, however, excellent. I liked Tracy's dress in the casino too - actually most of Diana Rigg's outfits in OHMSS were good.

Solange's dress stayed in the classy category IMO, however, how about LeChiffre's girlfriend's dresses - YUCK!

We'd probably agree that those were just plain tacky - not even remotely attractive IMO. :cooltongue: However, I think that this was intentional. She fits with LeChiffre's character - slicked back hair, black tux and overall greasy personality.

Ok, here are some good ones:

#1 Magda's dress in Octopussy. Both beautiful and practical (as she use it to escape from the balcony!).

#2 Triple-X in her dark blue dress in TSWLM...!

#3 Elektra's red dress in TWINE...!

#4 Domino's white dress in the casino (Claudine Auger looks good in anything but I had to pick one at least).

#5 Solitaire's dress (The red/gold dress she has just before the crocodile scene).

Regarding XXX's dress, are we thinking about the same dress - I thought it was black (at least it looks black on my TV) - the one she wears when she meets up with Bond in the club?

By the way, good choices!

Yes we mean the same dress and I'm pretty sure it's dark blue.

Well, they are not exactly evening gowns, but these are my top 5:

1) http://www.mamut.com...tswlm_007_4.jpg
This is my all time favorite!!(Sorry only seeing half of it).

2) http://upload.wikime...0/08/Diana3.jpg
I love the design on the dress with the white.

3) http://www.007.info/...rlOctopussy.jpg
Well, it's not a dress :cooltongue: but I like the octopus design on the back.

4) http://hugin.info/13...3107/175019.jpg
Sexy, but sophisticated. (And again, sorry about seeing half of it).

5) http://www.007.info/...dGirlMelina.jpg
I like it how it is simple.

Well, Magda wore a sari, not a dress, so I wouldn't count that personally.

I think from a design point of view, the best dress in CR was Vesper's black number, especially with that gorgeous lace jacket. Solange's hot pink dress was...she looked absolutely amazing, but in real life there are only about three women in the world who look good in skin-hugging satin.

Lindy Hemming was just into the weird horizontal back straps for CR; Vesper's black dress had them, Solange's pink dress had them, Valenka's weird ugly dress had them.

Another great dress was Elektra's deep plum with all the lace and the amazing long cuffs.

I liked Domino's red Junkanoo dress best; she was in black and white the whole film, then WHAM red. Very effective.

How 'bout Dr. Jones' mini-dress/denim jacket combo in TWINE? :cooltongue: Blah.

You CAN'T tell me you still bought her as a nuclear physicist in that moment.

Only two haunt my dreams:
Solange's Devil in a Red Dress number
Anya's Hummina! Hummina! black dress

As far as all the others, my mind is on the Acting.

1) Vesper's dark purple CR dress... I think everybody on these forums knows just HOW crazy I am about it. Pretty much obsessed!

2)

Yup, I actually like this one! Any full-body screenshots of this one would be greatly appreciated, I think it's just gorgeous! Then again, I do have a preference to short dresses myself...

3) http://www.mamut.com...tswlm_007_4.jpg
This one's already been said but I just gotta say it again... absolutely classy and simply timeless!

4) Solange's dress... I love the design although I HATE the color! Personally I think it would look nice in emerald green, although it's not the color for Catherina Murino, gotta admit... coral pink worked on her, but its a really hard color to pull off, imo.

5) Vesper's red dress (casual) towards the end of CR... I found it really sweet and would luv to have it...

I've always thought the sky blue evening gown wore by Carey Lowell at the end of LTK was a striking dress.

But, then again, I'm biased :cooltongue:

1. Tracy's white casino dress in OHMSS

2. Elektra's red dress in the casino scenes of TWINE

3. Solange's pink dress in CR

4. Pam Bouvier's blue dress in the closing scenes of LTK

5. Vesper Lynd's black dress in CR, from when Bond wants to buy back into the game.

And apart from evening gowns, I like Holly Goodhead's Venice attire when Bond catches up with her in that city in MR. And, at least twice I have heard women comment favorably about it.

Striking? Hardly!!!! It was wishy washy and I thought old fashioned, looked like it was designed for the Queen mother, but then each to their own and horses for courses as they say!!

Depends how you wear it. You should wear the dress, it shouldn't wear you...

Anything worn by Anya.

Pam Bouvier's dress worn in the casino.

Vesper's purple dress.

The mentioned Solange dress.

Er...Jinx's bikini

I thought the casino dress was perfect the character. Very functional, as well as appropriate for the casino. :cooltongue: A bit off topic, but I think overall, the wardrobe for Pam was pretty much on the mark. She wore things that really worked well for the job she was performing.

It's a shame Natalya in Goldeneye didn't have occasion to wear formal attire.

I'm not sure it would be considered to count as a dress, per se; but I'm quite fond of the white "wedding" kimono worn by Kissy in YOLT.

I'm guessing that I'm alone in that regard. :cooltongue:

You're not. I thought Kissy looked very fetching in that outfit.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Miranda Frost's ice blue dress at the ball in DAD. She definitely outshone Jinx in it.

Domino at the casino, Pam's which rips off below the knees, Paris at the CMG party, and Magda's sari/balcony rope stand out to me.

Yes, true about Miranda in that scene. Matched her personality, not to mention the setting perfectly.
