The closest I have come to his "dark side" is his goings on with his cousin Pasquale "Pat" DiCicco who introduced him to the Hollywood set in the 1930s. Seems he was not a nice guy, being involved with the mob, prostitution and such (any wonder why Cubby put in the "delicatessen in stainless steel line"?

Oh and most importantly there was Ted Healy, former leader of The Three Stooges. He died in 1937, supposedly from a heart attack. There is also the story that he really died from a beating after a drunken altercation at a nightclub. There were three people who beat him up. One story goes that they were "college fellows." The other story goes that the three were Wallace Beery, Pat DiCicco and....Cubby Broccoli!

Hmm....I wonder if this explains why he liked Bond? We have sex, violence against women, criminal conspiracies, killing and sadism for the whole family!
