Has anyone else noticed this? Did he have surgery on his eyes or something? Anyone know?
Now don't get me wrong here. I'm big Moore fan, but this is peculiarity that I seem to notice every time I watch AVTAK.

Don't really know why he did it, he looked fine in OP, but considering he was 57 then, maybe it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Seriously though, as our man Bryce said up there, I noticed the mole missing, but to be honest I didn't notice hish larger eyes. Now that you've mentioned it however, how much you wanna bet that that'll be the only thing I can think about next time I see it?

You know what strikes me is that Moore's eyes look significantly bigger in AVTAK than they do in all his other Bond films. I know the guy's aging in the 007 role, but could two years make that much of a difference?

He was also wearing contact lenses I believe, which accentuated any work he may or may not have had done around the eyes between films. It was also noticeable that he'd lost quite a bit of weight since Octopussy which gave him, for me, a slightly haggard look around the face.

The rest was just to keep up with the times.

Yup - it was in the news at the time that he'd had the mole done - It definitely had to be done for medical reasons though.
And definitely not because it had shifted halfway up his face when the rest got pulled up?

Didn't think the mole was THAT big!Roger Moore had his mole removed and that's all. He didn't have any surgery done except this. And yes, obviously he lost some weight.

AS much as I hate to take public issue with the great Lady Templar, I would have to respectfully disagree. It seems quite obvious to me that he had either an 'eye'job', a facelift, or both. Sir Roger's a wonderful chap, quite the dashing, handsome movie star. But the difference between OP Moore and AVTAK Moore is just too significant to deny. And I believe it's well established that he had the work done.

This may seem like a stupid question, but why did he have it removed?

That's usually what stars do (except MJ, who does Plastic Surgery because he looks worse after)

There may have been concern this mole might have been cancerous. I had a huge one removed from my neck for the same reason.

A dermatologist thought one on my back might be cancerous, so he took a sample and sent it to the lab for testing. In the end, it was fine and I didn't need to have the rest removed.

Yeah ok that makes sense.
