What a great way for 007 to bring it back!!!
Anyone else wished he had said it earlier, perhaps?

He wasn't "Bond. James Bond."
So, I think he said it just at the right time.

Did anyone else think that Craig tried to put just a little bit of the Connery accent into it?

And the music afterwards!! It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end just talking about it!

That said I'd have still liked the film if he'd not said it at all.

I had to wait until the end of the film to hear "The name's Bond, James Bond", when he shoots Mr. White.
What a great way for 007 to bring it back!!!

Not me. I think it was a wise choice to end the "first" Bond film in an "alternate universe".

Whta tdalton is saying, is that he would have prefered the film to end the way the novel did.
Exactly, although I can't really find any fault with the way that the film itself ended. Having Craig deliver "Bond, James Bond" as the Bond theme began to swell up in the background was fantastic. My main complaint was the way that the final line of the novel was made into something of a throwaway line, which took away from the dramatic impact of the line (as well as its importance) when there was no really compelling reason to have it done that way.
