So who on earth was M in bed with when she gets woken up by phone? Is she supposed to be married in the Benson novels? Did anybody else think the guy bore a striking resemblence to Geoffrey Palmer? Did my brain add what it would take to not feel like my grandma has a boyfriend? :)

Weird little detail, I'm interested to see if anybody else noticed this...

What's wrong with a grown woman sleeping with her husband? In GoldenEye, M talks about her children.

'M's Got a Bed Buddy!, anybody else weirded out?'

Against my will, I was, in fact, a bit uncomfortable. Must be the last tiny vestiges of puritanism coursing through my post-modern veins.

There's a song lyric in there, I'm sure of it. :)

What a place for Michael G. Wilson to have done his cameo!

I'd actually forgot about her husband and kids.. that apartment gave off a kind of bachelorette vibe to me, and the dude looked really young from the 1/2 a second that you could see him. for a sec, I got this horrible mental image of M seducing a young agent or some such :)

Blech..

M's got kids and a hubby - it has a more human aspect to the character than "Bond's Boss"

That's where the producers of Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me originally wanted to film the scene of Austin's house party and the introduction of Heather Graham's Felicity Shagwell. I guess M must have been hosting a tea party or something with the British governmental bureaucrats or something and that is why it was not available to Mike Myers and crew :)

Still creeps me out.. I miss the stodgy old bachelor M, sigh..

I will say though that this M was my favorite since Dench took the helm.. I loved her "Christ I miss the cold war" speech :)

What's even mroe interesting is that the man seemed to be younger than M herself. :)

M's children have all grown and moved away and into their adult lives. M has since sold her house and moved into a more manageable apartment - an apartment deemed secure by MI6.

Whether or not the gentleman in bed with her is her husband is up for grabs. What is not up for grabs is whether M has needs or not.

M has needs...

Or Branson :)

I was thinking that too - would have been hilarious if the guy rolled over and it was MGW or Branson!

Although I did enjoy MGW's role. Got to see him do a little acting this time.

Well in 'The Sun', it said that Campbell was considering making M a Lesbian and another idea was a Toyboy

Must we really become dramatic and change M's sexual orinetation? Since when was this ever up for debate. In the novels and in the previous movies with Judi Dench as M, we have always believed her to be nothing but straight.

I always figured her for a Widow or Divorcee with grown kids... hence her ability to continue on with a job as secretive as that...
