Classic Moments from Casino Royale

The Torture scene: Felt vey uncomfortable during this(which guy wouldn't?) but it is well acted by Daniel and Mads. Daniel completely steals this scene from Mads. "No the Right. THE RIGHT!"- Bond
Babs was right when she said that Bond seem like a winner even though it was a dreadful stituation.
The Line: "The Job is Done. The Bitch is Dead." - Changed from "Yes damn it I said, was. The Bitch is Dead Now." from the novel it has become the most quoted line from the film. I know, my cousins who attend the film with me couldn't stop saying it.
The Ending: Mr. White answers his phone: "Who is this?" The reply? "Mr. White we need to talk." A shot to the kneecap. A figure steps up from behind Mr. White after he crawl his way to the steps. A harden man dress in a slick suit and weilding a badass gun...he intoduces himself with a hint of a smile: "The names Bond...James Bond."

It is these moments that Eva Green shines in the part and shows the astuteness of her casting. In both scenes David Arnold's score soars under the drama beautifully.

I agree with these two, very beautifully done in the context of what they meant to Bond fans old and new.
Great, great stuff.

Of ALL the places to put in a gag. I didn't laugh at anything in the film but that line almost had me rolling on the floor.

What Bond can do with his little finger was great and sweet.
And - for me - ordering Solange caviar for one. Not afraid to show Bond being a bastard. I thought there were lots of nice touches like this throughout the movie.

I think the PTS was brilliant - very short and concise, yet really arty and effective, all the more so because of the brutality. I felt genuinely uncomfortable watching Bond drown his victim.
Vesper's Death in the elevator. The silenced sound effects, the heightened score, it was all so tragic. I cried.
The death of Carlos. That was cool, especially Bond's little smile.
The scene in the shower - very sensitive, and beautifully unconventional for a Bond film, despite it feeling very appropriate for one of the novels.
But, one moment to rule them all... "The name's Bond. James Bond"

I'm not gonna make any more claims about CR being the best yet till it's out on DVD but it DEFINITLY has the best ending.
Not that there's much competition, Bond films generally have naff endings. Remember License to Kill? XD

The Mollaka pursuit has to be one of the most memorable chases.Le Chiffre's 4 jacks 'opps' line is pure caviar. The stair fight is just brutal & straight out of Fleming,a rival to the train fight in 'From Russia,With Love'Also Michael G Wilson being arrested is a little gem,I wonder how many directors have wanted their producers arrested?
This Bond is a classic 007 outing.
Had a smile across my face when I saw that.

I was the only person in the cinema who laughed at that -- you can really tell if there are Bond fans in with that little gag can't you?

The funny thing is a lot of people were critical of the script for the inclusion of jokes in what is a traumatic torture scene... but I guess it would be very hard to imagine just how well it plays out on screen, thanks to the powerhouse acting...The Torture scene: Felt vey uncomfortable during this(which guy wouldn't?) but it is well acted by Daniel and Mads. Daniel completely steals this scene from Mads. "No the Right. THE RIGHT!"- Bond
The jokes show Bond's pig-headedness in the face of Le Chiffre's beating, he will not be broken.

It's not even worth imagining. Raised eyebrow and all.

Also the really touching scene in the shower. I'm not one to bash old Brozza, but I don't like to think of him in that scene. If Brosnan did that joke during the torture scene....

Also - did anyone else absolutely LOVE the character of the rather camp Swiss Banker Mendel? The audience adored him at the screening I saw, laughed at every little thing he did. The best of the smaller roles!!

Ooh also Bond and Vesper sizing each other up on the train was brilliantly written (sorry - these moments keep coming back to me!)

The biggest laugh was the look from Bond I think! lol

"Bought any chocolate?" Lol.
All the Bond and Vesper moments are classic, funny, beautiful and touching.

Absolutely... when Bond asks him "Didn't you bring any chocolates?" and he replies "I'm afraid not" and then lets out a ridiculous little laugh. The way Bond is clearly amused by this reaction almost seems improvised, works really well.
AGREED TOTALLY.
Craig's look was comedy gold.

Oh yeah, another great line is when MI6 headquarters inform M that Bond got into M's files using her name and password. M's line: "How the HELL does he know these things."
Judi was great as M in CR.

- The opening black and white sequence and the way it goes into the gunbarrel.
- Title sequence...remnded me of Soul Bass' work from the 50's/60's...stunning!
- The whole construction site sequence...one of the greest action scenes of the franchise.
- The shower scene...so beautifully acted and directed.
- The torture sequence. For me this isn't just the greatest scene of the film but one the greatest moments of the entire series. It's right up there with the laser scene from Goldfinger and Daniel Craig is utterly sensational.
- Vesper death. Again, beautifully handled by cast and crew.
- "The name's Bond...". If you were to look up cool in the dictionary it ought to read: "final 2 minutes of Casino Royale". I left the cinema feeling elated after what was a brilliant end to a stunning film.

did anyone notice Bond's interaction with Villers when he wanted to get through to M. That seems like a really interesting relationship. Like the "Anti-Moneypenny" and far away from Robinson or Tanner....Villers is officicous and by the book and this really seems to wind Bond up. I liked the way that little interaction showed Villers as being petty and Bond as being an agent who *has* to work on his own because even though he gets results his organisation doesn't trust him.
Nice moment I thought.
