Has anyone noticed the
'If in doubt - ASK' signs in Blofeld's oil rig in DAF? I think that's what they say, though it might be 'Unsure? ASK'

Also in Thunderball, the atomic bombs have 'HANDLE LIKE EGGS' stencilled onto them. And the ice box containing the animal heart and diamonds in TLD says 'HANDLE LIKE EGGS'.

Interesting, anyone else noticed funny signs?

I have noticed those signs in DAF. Always thought it was just a little joke the crew did. Little personal or funny statements etched in things throught the series.

I sort of figured the 'HANDLE LIKE EGGS' would be standard because I think I'd seen that warning somewhere official before. I just thought it was an amusing way of telling personnel how to behave!

Also, is the 'You don't have to be mad...' thing in the film YOLT, or is it somewhere on the set but was never shown in the film?

No, sorry, another lame attempt at humour on my part.

Theres another in Blofelds Volcano...

'4' Days accident free.

Actually, I just made that one up, I haven't found anything cool like that. I did notice that in FRWL when Kerim goes to sniper the guy in the apartment that the larger advertisment on the wall is for 'Call me Bwana' a Broccoli/Saltzman movie, but apparenlty everyone's seen that, so my tyres were quickly deflated that day.

These notices do actually exist on most oil rigs as they are extremly safety conscious!

Again, this text is actually present on all US nukes at the time of filming. I believe the production desigeners went over the the RAF boys for insider info on "hwat would this look like if we wanted to do it" kind of thing (UK only uses US nukes BTW, a deal struck a long time ago).

I heard a rumour that on one of the wooden crates in the Caviar Factory sequence in TWINE is written "IAN FLEMING" while the rest have Russian logo's. Haven't managed to spot it yet, maybe one of those things that did actually happen but didn't make it onto the screen - a bit like Maud Adams and the tram in AVTAK.

I know that this is not a sign or label, but in TND when Carver speaks to his "cronies" on the televisions, that Michael G. Wilson is one of the "cronies" that is talking about the President in the Hotel room with the cheerleader. Thought that was interesting. :)

I've heard the full story. Now don't quote me on names because I'm a little sketchy.

But I believe it was Ken Adaams and Peter Lamont who were responsible. But they used their contacts at the RAF to take a look at a real nuclear weapon. At this time pictures hadn't been released, no one knew what they looked like! Anyway, Lamont actually smuggled in a camera and took photos of them. Hence, the amazing likeness!

Of course, my favourite sign is from Live and Let Die :) :

TRESPASSERS WILL BE EATEN

On a more gruesome note (pun not indended) from Licence to Kill, I liked the play on words that can be attributed to Fleming:

He disagreed with something that ate him
