Bought a package of some 20 of them a while ago, for 10 bucks, or so.
Nothing spectacular. They're aimed at a 10-14 year old demographic, so everyting has to be recognizable (which means: nothing previously unseen). Vehicles, locations and gadgets descriptions are a bit like in Alastair Dougal's "Ultimate James Bond". Apart from that, there are mission summaries, photo sequences of action scenes, sheets on villains and allies. Some quizzes and puzzles. Oh, and of course some usefull informations on "Spy Secrets" ("Top tailing techniques" or "Booby trap your room"), as well as "Field Skills", such as fighting all sorts of animals (fierce fish, snakes, sharks and alligators), escaping avalanches and outer space survival.
Don't know how many there were, the highest issue I have is #29.
If you desperatly need to buy them, be aware of the following:
each issue came with "fact cards" (vehicles, locations, villains, allies, Q-branch and "Special Edition" cards ("Agent Warning")), the started with 12 per issue, then switched to 10 at some point. An introductional promo issue says that there are 150 altogether. Issue #1 came with a small embossed 007 tin, containing divider cards (tin was to be used for swaps and doubles). #2 came with a cardboard magazine case. #4 came with a big embossed 007 tin for all collecting cards. There were also some "Q branch decoding lenses" which are needed to solve some of the quizzes. Subscribers to the mag received a "Q branch recording pen device" (with 007 logo, of course) as a gift.
