So the past Bond films are to be ignored? does this mean we will also never see Casino Royale in a Dvd boxset with the others? a new Bond francise?

No, it'll likely still be in a box set with the others. It's still another EON Bond.

I don't believe the series had any previous continuity, so I don't have a problem with that.

I've always tried to see it the other way, though thats pretty hard considering the whole YOLT - OHMSS situation with Blofeld not recognising Bond.

you forget that bond was disguised as a japanese man when he met blofeld in YOLT, and blofeld had undergone some heavy plastic surgery in between the films.

Bond was not disguised by the time he saw Blofeld. It's written in the script that his disguise vanishes as he climbs the mountain and that's how it works in the film, as well.

But still, would you rather not view the whole James Bond saga as the mans life story? I would not mind if it was a prequel, I know I should not let it bother me

Or just tell yourself that Blofeld suffered amnesia from being caught in the volcano blast at the end of YOLT, hence he did not recognize Bond in OHMSS.

I do remember reading that Peter Hunt and EON desperately tried convincing everyone that OHMSS was a prequel to YOLT, somehow, though I could be wrong.

Only problem with that, was Blofeld introducing himself to Bond in the volcano.

I updated the list. It's a shame we don't know the rest of the cast yet.

I haven't heard any such thing, and in fact, it seems that EON went for the opposite by making DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER the follow-up to OHMSS. But I'd love to see some evidence backing your side up - it'd be interesting if it really was the case.

Nice to see a big selection of villains in the film so far.

Yeah, I've kind of missed that huge network of bad guys Bond has to deal with. That's been missing for quite a while now.

Agreed.

While there were a fair amount in Die Another Day, some of them seemed somewhat underdeveloped.
