Makers of another movie are already lining up an alternative to the actress because she is going to make the new Bond flick.

I would not take an Indian online newssite very seriously.
I am sure they will not be the first to know.

Though if I were Naomi Watts' manager I would tell her to do Daisy Scarlett not Casino Royal. It would be a bad move on her part to give up a starting role for the role of a Bond Girl. Sad, but true.
Depends on the script, director, etc. So many "franchise" spy movies, especially those with a female lead, have sunk into obscurity...I could see her choosing CR, depending. It really depends, of course...(okay, I'll stop)

Kate Winslet may feel happy if Naomi Watts agrees to star in new movie

You're right. If I was her manager, I'd also advise her to do the other film. And, I would be surprised if Watts actually does decide to be in Casino Royale, even though I think that she would be very good in the role.

I also think that if they're looking at Henstridge for DS, then that's pretty telling about the script (ie doesn't require a whole lot of acting, and therefore wouldn't be very appeaing to someone like Watts, IMO...).

In short, rubbish. Perhaps Gulshan Grover will claim he's the villain in this film too.

It's probably just an attempt by the producers of this low-rent Semper Occultus film, to try and drum up some publicity for their own film, off the back of Casino Royale.

Oh God, not another Bollywood story. How the hell would India know what's going on? And why the hell does it start by saying "Washington". Yeah all the Hollywood casting decisions are done there

I'm glad you can see through all this BS.

I wouldn't mind Natasha Henstridge (sp?) either. Would much rather have Naomi Watts in the role, but if she turned it down then they could do a lot worse than Henstridge.
TDalton my friend,
Check out Henstridge in Species 1 & 2. She looks great as a brunette sans clothing ofcourse.

Sounds like another load of old "Toro" to me.

Yeah you might be right there. Seems like this Semper Occultus thing has been in development for quite a while, right? They probably can't get financing unless a name actress is involved, and most established actresses won't go near it. Now that D-list talent like Natasha Henstridge is being considered, the script probably stinks.

Not so fast: http://www.digitalsp...le/ds27737.html
I can't really say that I'm all that surprised and I can't really say that I blame her for seriously considering turning the role down if it's offered. The way the franchise has been run the past 15 years or so, I wouldn't want anywhere near it either if I was in a position to be a part of the production. Right now, we're going to have a D or F list actress in the role of Vesper Lynd and a no-name made for TV movie actor as Le Chiffre.

Sounds fine to me. There have been plenty of great Bond girls in recent years who were no names, Maryam d'Abo, Carey Lowell, Famke Janssen, Izabella Scorupco, Rosamund Pike, Michelle Yeoh (not well known outside of Asia at the time). Then there were the not so great ones - Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher, Denise Richards. Lookee what they all have in common, they were American stars. I'd much rather have an unknown actress rather than someone like Jolie bringing her star baggage to the role, and I have a feeling that's exactly what we're going to get. So far, every single Bond girl rumor appears to have originated from The Sun, and everyone's believing every word of it for some bizarre reason. Oh well, hopefully this month EON will put an end to the madness...

A quick recipe
Take:
1 Indian newspaper.
1 Attractive, famous and talented actress in this month's biggest blockbuster.
1 Attractive but talentless actress whose shot at fame was about a decade ago (when she was also perpetually linked to Bond).
Remove any trace of quotes, sources or dates.
Stir.
You now have a Bond rumour that spikes hits to your site and fills a page for another day.
Serve cold. Serve leftovers repeatedly.
