In the 70's the ratings system was more lax, films could get away with a lot more back then with violence and sex and it was in the Bond films at the time too.

In The Man with the Golden Gun i was surprised when Moore was pretending to be Scaramanga and walked near a pool with a naked asian chick swimming around, you can clearly see her bush weakly obscured by the opacity and waviness of the water. In The Spy Who Loved Me, Anya is showering in the submarine, one of her tits totally exposed, heck one of the officers comically stares at her! I saw this on the thanksgiving Bondathon and it was curiously blurred out, not on my VHS though. What else?

In the intro to Diamonds are Forever: Marie, the woman that Bond needs to get something "off her chest" so he can find the whereabouts of Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Her nipple is clearly seen when he removes her bikini top with which to choke her. In View to a Kill, there must have been some Grace Jones nudity, what with the bad editing of her getting undressed and getting into bed.

I don't think you can actually. In the book The World of James Bond (or whatever it was called), it shows a still from that movie, and shows that she was, in fact, wearing a flesh-coloured swimsuit, disproving the rumours that she was nude.

In FRWL, when Tanya slips nude into Bond's bed, she is really nude but it is not Daniela Bianchi, it is a body double.

In Octopussy, Maud Adams gets out of the pool nude and is handed a robe. She is fully nude but seen from a long, long distance. A DVD zoom feature will show it.

If one is so inclined, freeze-framing the dvd will show that the body part in question is indeed visible in the take used in the film.

Of all the "nude" moments mentioned above, you'd either have to freeze frame/frame advance to even see them. Why don't you just rent a French movie? Plenty for everyone!

Wasn't the love scene between Bond and Jinx (the one before they went to the island) quite racy/raunchy/explicit (whatever) and the decision was made to have it cut cut? I believe Tamahori was all for the originally-shot version to be included.

Don't know if any "bits" were showing causing such a cut, though.

I believe the US version is slightly truncated compared to the UK's? I may be wrong, but I thought Michael G. Wilson mentioned that on the DVD commentary for the film.

Personally I don't think any off the Bond films should feature full nudity. Just a quick partial glimpes here and there is ok. Like someone already mentioned Bond should be a big tease.
