Why I think he'd be good: he plays a secret agent on TV, he's American, a massive star, totally inappropriate for the role, there's absolutely no way he's ever going to be cast, but I found a cool photo of him holding a gun on the internet.

What do you reckon?

Oh, damn. I've just seen that IMDB lists his height as 6'3. Which means that he's really 4'2, so he can't be Bond. Oh, well. He was so close otherwise.

But wait...

Maybe he could still qualify if you can find a picture of him in a tux.

Quick! Delete that pic!

The Telegraph will pick it up, and soon it'll be reported that he's a "legitimate contender."

I've just realised who would be perfect casting.

Michelangelo's David for the next Bond!

Posted Image

Okay, he's possibly a little too A-list, but he's got the menacing ruthless look of Fleming's character. He's kind of like a cross between Gerard Butler, but with some of the suaveness of Jeremy Northam. If it weren't for the fact that his hair's a bit curly, he's Italian, he's got a small todger and he's a sculpture, he'd be perfect.

Etc.

Well, he's got a 'cruel mouth' (whatever that means) and a thick comma of hair over his eyebrow. Well, both eyebrows, I suppose.

I support Chris Eccleston for the role. He's got dark hair, comes from England (well, the north, if you count that as England) and he needs a gig anyway. I hear he has the perfect pet; a cruel moth.

Maybe if he had a shave and a good haircut, I guess I could see it.

Never thought of Keifer before, but I'd pick him to play Leiter in a second!
Albert R Broccoli's Eon Productions present KEIFER SUTHERLAND as Ian Fleming's FELIX LEITER in CASINO ROYALE.
(also featuring somebody as James Bond).

And what about a CGI Bond and 5 versions of the same film.
The movie is the same but everyone can decide to see CR starred by Connery's clone, Laz' clone, Moore's clone, Dalton's clone or Brosnan's clone.
At the end we'll see who raised more money.

*bows*

Thank you kind Sir! :)

Actually, while it was discussed and put forward at the BCW, I would rather be me - i.e. Bryce 003. I show up in the precredits, on a mission with Bond, and get taken out, yet while helping Bond pull off the mission and escape....and not turning up later as a bad guy. If that's my way into a Bond film and getting my SAG card, I'll die well and happy - but preferably while doing something REALLY cool and having a good one-liner.

Although that would make two times that a "003" got bumped off. Maybe they'd need to retire that number at MI6.

BOT - Kiefer would be a great Leiter though. Just give me another season of 24 first. :)
