Very excited, as this was one of my favorite seasons (with Three coming in at the top). I'm still working my way through Season 1, as well, but for a while I feared they might never release the next installment.

"Steele Threads" is my all-time favorite episode, next to "Stronger Than Steele" which I believe was in Season Three.

Which picture do you think will be on the cover? Or do you think they'll make one using photoshop?

This is a good one:

Anybody know where to find current pictures of Stephanie Zimbalist? I want to see if she still looks good at age 49. :)

I was less than excited about Season 1 before it came out and to tell you the truth I doubt I would have gotten it if I had to pay for it...But then I found out that I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to Season 2 coming out :)

-- I also thought Zimbalist was a bit of a hottie! :) :)

This is a great cover! :) Brosnan looks like Bruce Wayne in this picture. His lips/chin look like Batman's.

His one eye looks a bit twisted, but it must be the pose. Not a bad cover, but I think I like the first one better.

I knew they had to add Stephanie Zimbalist onto the second season box art. It was a little odd that Season one had no sign on her on the box art -- though I have to admit the blue background (season 1 box art) is a much better color for this series than the red (season 2 box art).

This is a great cover! :) Brosnan looks like Bruce Wayne in this picture. His lips/chin look like Batman's.

Wow, you're totally right, Chris. I see the Bruce Wayne thing going on there too.

My copy of Season 2 arrived this morning from Fox...a bit late to be able to put together another advance review (like i did with Season 1) but I still can't wait to get home this evening and dive into it.

I'll post some initial thoughts -- probably this weekend.

The shadow of James Bond definately is cast long and wide over the special feature-length opener of Season Two.

In addition to being filmed in Acapulco (which bears a remarkable resemblance to Isthmus City in LTK - strange that) there is a line in the script in which "James Bond" is mentioned by name.

But most of all, the music is VERY Bondian in this episode, so stikingly so that I'm surprised that EON and John Barrty didn't cry foul when the episode aired. Some of the music cues are straight out of Bond movies of yesteryear.

On the flip side of disc 1 is a short featurette called "Steele Action". featuring stars Stephanie Zumbalist and Pierce Brosnan in new on-camera interviews it is a revealing look at the stunts and action sequences featured in season 2 of the show. We learn among other things that the production used Zimbalist's actual house as a location for her characters house in the season opener. Apparently when
/spoiler.gif
the mock up of the house explodes it left Stephanie quite upset as it was modeled after the exterior of her house
/gen_line.gif
.

In another sequence in which Stephanie shares an aquarium tank with a whole bunch of sea snakes the animal wranglers sewed shut the snakes mouths, but didn't bother to do that for second unit (leading to one person getting bit). Apparently Zimbalist was so busy trying to act underwater that she didn't even notice the snakes until getting out of the tank and finding one was still on her back and in another in her hair.

Pierce Brosnan does not seem to have lost any enthusiasm for the role (in stark contrast to his biting comments on the James Bond role this year) and we learn that the two lead actors did most of their own stunts - although Zimbalist's feet apparently (according to the actress) still have a bone to pick with the show for all the running she did in high heels.

I got Remington Steele - Season 2 for Christmas. I've already watched the first two episodes and I think it's much better than the first season. The first season got boring sometimes but the second season has way more action and has yet to be boring. The season premiere takes place in Mexico and reminds me of Licence To Kill. The music sounds exactly like James Bond music, Remington Steele looks and acts like James Bond, Pedro Armend

Yes, she certainly is....she was the reason I watched this when I was younger.

Personally speaking though I prefer Season 1.
