ON the flip side, a bit gimmicky isn't it? However it would be rather stupid to miss out on this wonderfully gimmicky once-in-a-thousand-year stunt.
Yeah it is just sort of a convenient gimmick. It'd make for easy marketing, and a cute logo on the poster, but other than that, doesn't really mean a whole lot. I'd rather not wait yet another year just for the sake of using the 007 in 2007 angle. But, CR will presumably be out on DVD in 07, so they can use that marketing campaign then.

They should be bombarded with letters or e-mails or something then. It would be one of the biggest mistakes in our lifetime to miss out on an opportunity that only comes once every 1,000 years!

I'd like a 2006 film, but if it has to be 2007 then that's fine by me in these one-off circumstances.
Remember, the difference between Nov-06 and July-07 is only 8 months, not 1 year, if that makes a difference to your opinions.

I'm easy on this.

Even though 7/7/07 would be optimal, I would still prefer a LATE, LATE 2006 release, or a really early 2007 release. This way, all of the holiday movies will be dying out, leaving 007 with little competition at the box office.

Dont miss 2-007 Eon.

Also dont we all know that January 2006 is the starting of the first film and October 2006 the second one.
Casino Royale will be passing in Britain, France and Prague and Bond22-Risico in Prague and South Africa.

We waited too long, and the public's radar is in the looming new Bond actor revelation. No, 2007 is too long a wait...
Regards.

NO WAY! I DON'T CARE ABOUT 007 IN 2007!

Thank you! And please, all fans in favor of 2007, please ask yourself this question: Do we need the most obvious and therefore tiresome promotional tool in order to make the audience go see "CR"?
If "CR" sucks, it

I know that a five year gap between movies is ridiculous, but I think that it would be even more ridiculous to have a Bond movie in 2006 and another in 2008, passing up the once in a lifetime opportunity to release a 007 movie in 2007[COLOR=green]. Can you imagine the ad campaign? I think that it would be good to have the movie released in Early 2007. Also, "7" has proved to be a lucky number for James Bond movies, since all of the James Bond movies released in 1967, 1977 (two seven's= twice the quality), 1987, and 1997 have turned out to be extremely great. They should stick to the trend, instead of breaking the pattern by releasing a movie in 2006 or 2008. While this may mean that CR will be a new and original Bond film, I think that they should play it safe for now. Does anyone else agree with me, or am I delusional for wanting the film postponed even farther?
I agree that it's a year that we are missing out on - the 2 007 thing is sort of cool. But this is simply unfortunate - I'd rather have my movie sooner than later.
Give us something else to 'celebrate' 2007.

Great point. I think the idea of a brand new Bond will draw equal audiences whether in 2006 or 2007.Thank you! And please, all fans in favor of 2007, please ask yourself this question: Do we need the most obvious and therefore tiresome promotional tool in order to make the audience go see "CR"?
