Just read this on the Daily Record (UK) :

The number plate ST1 - used on the Volvo coupe driven by Roger Moore in the 1960's TV detective series The Saint - is up for sale for

150 grand? Jeez, what some people would pay for a piece of metal. Overly personalised plates are tacky in my opinion anyhow.

How does one know that it's one of THE plates that was actually used in the series as there were 2 cars supplied and utilised by the production team - one was used by the 2nd unit on location and one was supplied to Roger to drive around in.

Eh....guess not. :) About two months old too, you'd think the article would have explained more about where it's up for sale, updated on the sale, etc. It is the Daily Record though...
