How come Roger Moore looks like a fish when he kisses someone on screen? In every Bond movie he was in, it seems, he always sucks in his face during the kissing scenes. Anyone else find this weird? It's almost as weird as keeping your eyes open while you kiss someone.

Moore was of the old-school of gentlemen heroes who kissed their women with closed mouth and pursed lips shut tight (what is known as a 'cowboy kiss'). In the days of sexual revolution and women power, this was a very old-fashioned stance, and REALLY seemed out of place in the the gratuitous decade of the 80's. Brosnan was the first to really deliver a believable, passionate kiss in my book. You won't find any 'fishy-faces' in his four movies!

This sounds like one of those things like, "Roger Moore always blinks when he fires a gun" or "Roger Moore was sooooooo old in AVTAK" that get bandied around over and over until everyone parrots them, even people who don't pay much attention to Bond films. And just as Roger's gun handling doesn't bother me (if anything, his method is actually better than the other Bond actor's - a two-handed grip is always more accurate!) and his age is not really a factor in AVTAK unless you are looking for it to be a factor, I also don't feel that this fish face thing is any sort of a problem.

I believe I noticed Roger's face sucking in while he was kissing a girl once, but there was a reason for it. It was one of those scenes like the pre-credits in TSWLM where he is kissing a girl and concentrating on something else at the same time. The effect is humorous, as it is intended to be. Other than that, I've never noticed not been bothered by his Rogesty's (love that, Lady Templar!) "fish face" in the least.

Brosnan's gnawing in TND always bothered me too. He does not just once, but twice! Did he think he was at a wine and cheese tasting?!? Definitely more disturbing then any supposed fish face problems with Moore.

There was nothing old-fashioned about the Bond/Magda mash in Octopussy. There was biting, tongue, and I'm sure I saw some tonsils being gargled in there somewhere too.

Anyone care to go through the Seven Moores and count, index, time and grade the kisses?

Nothing wrong with a bit of nibbling, as long as you don't draw blood... and nothing wrong with a bit of spanking either IMO - I always seem to get away with it (a bad habit I picked up from Sean The Magnificent).
